I live in Carmichael, California. I'm a grandmother of 3 beautiful little girls. My quest for genealogy began to perserve our family history for them. It has become so much more. |
I enjoy the hunt and discovery of family treasure. Putting the pieces together for my own bloodline but also those of the extended families. Find a Grave has been a most helpful tool in finding distant cousins and connecting with them.
I have broken my virtual cems into relationships but they are each one related in one way another. I work hand in hand with my ancestry tree in providing the most accuret records possible.
The hubs and I have begun doing cemetery transcription and photo documentation.
We enjoy the peaceful time together and helping others find their loved ones.
Many wonderful folks here have transfered memorials and/or posted bio updates. That is always my intention of asking for one too, is to update and perserve information. I thank each of them for all their time and dedication to genealogy.
If I have posted a memorial or manage one of someone related to you, please email me or leave me a message here. I am always willing to update/trans depending on the need or desire.

|RAP||Zion Lutheran Church|
Hello Deana, you added a photo of Zion Lutheran Church (Bay County, MI), it is the wrong church photo. The cemetery sign is correct. Only the church is wrong. I contacted you a year or two ago regarding it, I also submitted a photo of the church this week with a message regarding the descrepency. I was hoping whoever approves photos would have the wrong photo removed. Do you have any ideas how to get it removed?

|Ginger Gilmore||Hugh Sevier Fuller|
I'm Lieutenant Ginger Gilmore with the Wichita Falls (TX) Police Department. Our department is researching our officers who were killed in the line of duty. Hugh Sevier Fuller was one of those officers. This year is our department's 125th anniversary and we're putting together a commemorative yearbook. We're especially focusing on the history of our department. We have never had a photo of Hugh to honor him on our wall of fallen officers, or to put in the book we're creating. If you have one from any of your genealogical research, we would love to have a copy. We would also like to correspond with any distant relatives. I was excited to see you're a cousin, you're the first family we've ever found of his!
I look forward to hearing from you!

This relates to the status of the cemetery in Files Valley, TX. In the 1970s, a board was established to oversee maintenance of the cemetery. All of the board members are now deceased. In order to insure some level of maintenance going forward, a new board should be established. A meeting seems necessary to reestablish the board and the first group to make contact with, before going to the general population of the community, in my opinion, should be those FindAGrave Contributors who have shown an interest and demonstrated some effort to preserve the memory of those interred there. If you have experience in managing small cemeteries and/or the interest to participate in this process, please contact me via email at email@example.com.
Regards and thanks for all your work for FindAGrave.

Just a quick note to let you know that I have added headstone photos to Howard and Emma McCann's memorial pages. If for any reason you would like the photos removed, please let me know. I have also created a site for Rodney A. McCann. Rodney is laid to rest beside Howard and Emma.

I just wanted you to know that Byron Sperling in Garfield Cemetery does not have a stone. I have the SPERKLING surname....:)
|Darleen Dorenkamper||Erna Louise Lenaburg Wiest|
Erna Louise Schultz b. 24 Aug 1899 to Edward Emil Schultz and Helena "Lena" Christine Lenaburg. According to a family history booklet, she married Robert C. Lenaburg in 1923 a very short time before marrying George Emil Wiest. I can find no record of either marriage. So I am not sure about the marriage to Robert C Lenaburg, who was the son of Reinhold Robert Lenaburg & Josie Kerschner Lenaburg.
Erna's mother Lena Lenaburg Schultz was a sister of my grandmother Anna Alvina Lenaburg Magandy. She was granddaughter of Herman Adolph Lenaburg, brother to Reinhold - so perhaps when discovering they were cousins, Erna Schultz & Robert C. Lenaburg had their marriage dissolved.
The Erna Louise Schultz marriage to Robert C. Lenaburg is mystery to me and I keep hoping someone can give me some documented facts. Yet Lenaburg is on the headstone along with Erna Wiest! I know of no other Erna Lenaburgs in the family so believe it is Erna Schultz Lenaburg Wiest.

Can you give me a little more information as to where the cemetery might be? I'll attempt the request this afternoon if I can find it.

Please check the memorials you added to Ebenezer AME Church in Lincoln County, Mississippi. These memeorials are in the wrong cemetery.
