Bio

I am a first generation Texan, with an
Oklahoma birth certificate. If I said that my college days were at "THE University", it would date me; that was what "University of Texas at Austin" was called 50 years ago!

My mother was born in Indian Territory before Oklahoma became a State. But I, like many others, did not ask ENOUGH questions; so after retirement, a goal was to write my history from scratch. By that time, there was no one around to give me information, so the search was on! I have been so fortunate to meet several hundred "cousins" to claim, between my family search and that of my husband's. I am lucky because he has joined in 100% of these endless searches and also does a lot of the leg work. He can walk a cemetery much faster than I, and he even keeps his humor doing it!

Do any of the following words sound familiar: OBSESSION, COMPULSION, ADDICTION, BURNING LATE NIGHT LIGHTS, CAN WE EAT OUT TODAY? Maybe those are words to describe any genealogist, AND IT IS NEVER FINISHED! Neither am I.

Just a few months ago I stumbled into Findagrave, and life has not been the same since. There have been a few things that we have been able to contribute to the site, but there have been many things that have been given to us from the site.

THANK YOU SUNSHINE
