Bio and Links
Bio Photo I finally had to change my profile picture. The old picture of my youngest son was quite out of date considering he's going into 2nd grade next year :( He still enjoys going out to take pictures with me so there's still hope for him!
There are so many old cemeteries in this part of NC so we are trying to post as many interments as possible to help all you researchers out. Also, most of the stones they used for markers in the 1800's are not standing up to the elements very well so it's a race against time to get as many pictures as possible. If you are looking for more NC relatives, I am working with the team of volunteers at They have surveyed and taken pictures of a ton of cemeteries in central NC.

One of the most popular questions I get emailed is asking permission to use "my" photos. The short answer is yes, you can use any pictures I have taken. I don't require references or accreditation because that's not why I joined the website and volunteer to take photos. I don't consider them my property unless you use them to somehow make millions of dollars (then I'd appreciate a small kickback) :)

March 2016

My goal to complete the Oakwood cemetery by December fell apart but I just uploaded the next-to-last section. Pictures will be added shortly then weather permitting, I hope to finish next week.

Look at you guys! Since Findagrave has gone to the new edit system you all have sent me 10,084 edits & corrections. Finally cracked the 10,000 plateau!

THANK YOU so very much for the photo of my great uncle and his wife. My mothers family was so fractured and I never got the chance to get to know him and I am very appreciative to have this. Many thanks!! - Kimberly Johnson

William Joseph Coble
I think William Joseph Coble 1874-1962 was the son of James R Coble 1842-1920 and Catherine Jane Swing 1840-abt 1878. Margaret Linens 1857-1928 was his step mother. James and Margaret were married in 1878 according to the 1900 census. I see you have listed an inscription, but I can't see it.
Thank you, Janis Webb Babb

I am asking a favor...
You photographed a headstone in the Bethel Cemetery of a George Burkhart....I wanted to place that photo in my family tree but the face of it is very dark. If you are still doing this and in that area again I was wondering if it could be retaken?
It's in Plot 10.
The Find A Grave number is 28599038.
Thank you
If you can't I understand...
