Information on Henry/Albert Still??
I am wondering if you have any information on Henry Still who was born 1836 and died 1903(Greenlawn burial)? I am trying to figure out if he is the father of Albert Still born 1873 and died 1953? Albert was my 3rd great grandpa and I am coming across documents with conflicting information as to who his father was. I found a marriage document from 1902 for Albert and Caroline Emrich (Emerich?)which states his fathers name was Henry. However, on the death certificate of Albert it states his fathers name was also Albert. There are a few other documents I have come across that also state his fathers name is Henry but so far I have been unable to verify if Henry was his name and why it has been listed as Albert on the death certificate...Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Coulter Family
Hi, Dave! I noticed that you have a John Brice Coulter (1826-1912) buried in Green Lawn Cemetery at Columbus, Ohio. Do you have any additional information about him? I am wondering if he might be a brother of my great-great-grandfather, Dickson Brice Coulter (ca. 1820 - 1891), buried in Pine Glen Cemetery in Prescott, Wisconsin. I do not have any good evidence of who the parents of Dickson Brice Coulter were; but, I have always wondered if he might have been a son of the "Dixen" Coulter who married Mary Brice on 7 September 1814 in Ohio County, (West) Virginia. - Eric Hovemeyer, Cincinnati, Ohio

RE: Davisson Family History
This is very interesting that my Clemens (now spelled Clemans) family seems to have a parallel track to Clark County, Ohio with your Davisson family and others. I would be very interested in more detail of your family movements from New Jersey to Harrison County, WV / Washington County, PA, then on the Fayette County, OH first then Clark County, OH. The only loose connection with Washington County, PA for my family involves an informal family history passed down to me. John Clemens married an Abigail Higbee who I believe was related to the Higbees in Washington County, PA. One Higbee of which also moved to Clark and Fayette County, OH. There is a small family Higbee Family Cemetery in Fayette County, OH where some of them are buried. Higbees are also from New Jersey originally.

John Clemens born in New Jersey (Burlington area - heavy with Quakers) moved to Harrison County, VA some time about 1780-1790. There are landownership records there I would like to check out some time in Clarksburg. John Clemens' mother, Esther, may have come with him to Harrison County. John had several children born in the 1780's and 1790's before leaving Harrison County for Fayette County. He shows up in the 1810 Census in Harrison County and Fayette County in 1820 Census. One son, Samuel Clemens stayed in Harrison county and built a mill in West Milford, WV in Harrison County. One son, moved to Morgan County, OH, John, JR.

Sure would like to learn more details from you about your family. It might help me fill in some gaps in my family history. Interesting Madison Twp, Clark County, OH wasn't formed until 1817. Records previously to that date are in Madison County, I think because they broke up Madison and other counties to form Clark County.

Thanks for responding.
