I Want To Thank Find a grave For Helping Me Find A lot of Family.

I am creating these memorials and adding pictures to help others Only, my source is mainly from the pictures I take, I will not ask no one to delete a duplicate memorial as I am no ones boss, I believe everyone should have a way to be contacted through a public message and not dish out orders or ask for requests with no way to respond to them. This is my own personal feelings but it just makes sense.... .

PLEASE READ!
Please Check The New Auto Edit Feature 1ST.
Please No PUBLIC MESSAGES REQUESTING EDITS OR TRANSFER'S WILL BE ANSWERED. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
ALSO
NO TRANSFERS WILL BE MADE AS A VISITOR, PLEASE SIGN ON YOUR FIND A GRAVE PAGE FOR THESE REQUEST.

Note
Was going to e-mail you instead of the public post, but you don't have an e-mail listed.

Sorry you have some whack job following you around. Some people apparently have no life of their own. I hope you have reported her. I've had a few nasty e-mails but nothing serious.

Please delete this message after you read.

Take care, and thanks again.

Thanks for deleting your memorial. Wow, 176,000 photos. I thought I was doing well but compared to you, I'm an amateur.

Dave:

Thanks. I'm working on it. I first worked on Adam Shatto's memorial (not yours) and now am through researching Mary Shatto. Stand back as edits will be coming very soon with a bunch of references.

Mary Shatto 1839-1914
Your memorial for Mary Shatto w/o Adam # 68705760 has me mightily perplexed. I don't know if I should put in edits for her.

All the records I can find indicate she was the widow of a Nelson Bantz (1833-1884) whom she married 21 Dec 1856 with maiden name "Mary Ann Poage" and then remarried recent widower Adam Shatto in Jay County 11 Sep 1885 as Mary E. Bantz. Census records for her and Nelson have 3 children and she reports in 1900 she has 3 children, all living. She is not the mother of Adams's children by Sarah Ann Frank. One son, Noah Albert Bantz reports in his marriage application that his mother's maiden name is Mary E. Pogue.

Problem: the dates on the grave marker do not correspond to her birth and death info, i.e. Mary E. Shatto d. 28 Jul 1911 in Niles Twp, Delaware Co, age 74 according to Indiana Death Records. Birth in 1838 is OK but death in 1914 doesn't fit at all.

Can't tell if I'm trying to force a square peg into a round hole.

Dave:

Thanks for the message about the edits. As I mentioned I'm slowly working through your Shatto memorials ... have hit a couple of roadblocks but am working through them.

More to come.

Best, Barry

I agree that it doesn't seem right that he would be there, but his death certificate clearly lists "Greenville" as the cemetery, and he's not in the Greenville Union Cemetery database, so I thought maybe Greenville Township. I can't find a death certificate for his wife Callie to compare.

Thanks,
Natalie
