|In September 2007, I retired after teaching mathematics for 30 years. Almost immediately I became hopelessly addicted to genealogy. I have photographed relatives' tombstones in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Tennessee, New York, Wisconsin and Missouri. I have published two books: "The Ancestry of William Floyd Myers in Jay County, Indiana," and "Salamonia Christian Church, 1842-1999." I'm currently working on a book about my Myers family genealogy. |
I was born Judith Ann Myers in Richmond, Indiana, and spent the first 35 years of my life in various parts of central Indiana. Then my family and I moved to Tennessee for 2 1/2 years, then to Tempe, Arizona, for 5 years, and finally back to Knoxville, Tennessee, where we still live.

Thanks for the info on Linda Sommers/Byrley memorial. I posted a note on the Salamonia memorial directing to the IOOF memorial.

|Perry Streeter||re: Location of 43486216?|
The links you provided confirm that Lettice Moore married Nehemiah (not Nathaniel) Thomas. They were likely the parents of Martha Thomas who married John Streeter (see www.perrystreeter.com/streeter.pdf).
Unfortunately, the cemetery is so small and probably overgrown that I cannot detect it via Google satellite images. I will confer with others from Canisteo next.

Thank you for adding a photo to 43486216!
Can you pinpoint the location of this marker, or at least this cemetery for me?
Some of his descendants will be visiting from Minnesota and I would like to enable them to pay their respects in person.
Thank you for putting up information about the Schenk family. Are you related? If you are I can fill in some of the names or information not given here.
I don't want to put my email out in the public comments and am new here is there a way to leave my email for you privately.

You are correct what a horrible story. I really just wanted to link the family.
|Stephanie||your Dorothy-Ann Myers photo request|
I was told by Meadowlawn Cemetery that the first lookup for a burial site is free. They charge $10 for each additional. If you could please call and request a plot lookup for free to accompany your photo request, I can go and fulfill your photo request for this cemetery using my cemetery map.

Yes, I thought that also and since their stones are right behind the big marker, I added the marker to provide a last name for them.

The Dale/Rice cemetery was used by Hennepin County for folks under the care of the county. The county didn't put markers on the graves. My aunt is buried there and has a marker that I had installed a few years back.

Hi again, Judy,
I only received one email from you about James Graves and the only item on there was his wife's name. So go ahead and send me any other additions, I'd be happy to add them.

Thank you for the information you sent to add more information to James Graves memorial. I added his wife's name to his biography. I also looked on the Minnesota History Center site for his information in the Death Index and added his full birth date as well as place of death.
Regards and thank you again,
