Bio Photo My intrest in genealogy started when I found letters my grandmother,Sarah Yeakl wrote to an Indiana newspaper for 45 years. She wrote these letters to the "Geneva Herald"for the benefit of those parts of families that stayed in Indiana. My grandparents moved to Michigan in 1909. Usually, I do my research in the winter months and travel, to the different states where I have found ancestors, in the summer months.I was approved for membership in the "Sons of the American Revolution in 2015. The Patriots name is George Yeakle who was in the Frontier Army of Northumberland County Pennsylvania.

RE: George and Anna Yeakley
Hi, About George. He is there in Stone Valley and it is recorded by the DAR. Anna is the one who was buried elsewhere and her plot was paid for by her daughter and her husband.

RE: George and Anna Yeakley

I am thru Henry & Susannah McNees. I just sent for the church records and got them, that was a few years ago. I am finding that a lot of stones are no longer on graves. I wish it had been me who got to go to Stone Valley. lol

Your email address on Find A Grave must have changed since I tried to send this information below and they said you were not a member.

Thanks for your message to me on Find A Grave. I just checked and I see you haven't deleted your memorial which is a duplicate. Since the person that created the first memorial created it on 13 Oct 2007 Memorial #22164804 that memorial should stay.

When you created your memorial you should have searched for her memorial to see if one had already been created and you would have found memorial #22164804.

So I request you delete your memorial since duplicate memorials cause much problems.

Please let me know when this has been done.

Duplicate Memorial for Emma Engle

In researching I have found duplicate memorial for Emma Maurer Engle you entered your memorial #65608121 on 13 Feb 2011, for Emma.

The other memorial #22164804 for Emma was created on 13 Oct 2007, therefore since Memorial #22164804 was entered first, please may I suggest that you delete your memorial, unless you are a direct line. Please let me know what you plan to do.

As you know duplicate memorials cause much confusion. So please help with this matter.

It is urgent that I get a prompt reply so I can continue my research.

Thanks will look forward to hearing from you.

Civil War Veteran Labolt Shauger
What a great memorial you have done for Labolt. Especially interesting was his picture. If you are interested in adding more information, below are more facts about his Civil War service:

*Civil War Veteran
Private, 8th Michigan Infantry, Company H
Enlisted: February 26, 1864
Discharged: August 25, 1864

Hope some of this helps to add to what you already have.
