Bio Photo If there's any errors in my Memorials, it was not done intentionally. Please let me know how to correct the error and I will fix it as soon as I can.

I submit these Memorials, for the person to be remembered.

Some were Veterans of either WWI, WWII, Korean or Vietnam Wars. Most are my ancestors, cousins, parents, classmates or friends.

If someone is directly related and you're not happy with my entry, I'll gladly transfer the Memorial to you or delete it.

RE: Photo of the cemetery sign
Hello, Roberta,

I am sorry for the long delay in replying to your message. I saw your note while I was on vacation but got busy and forgot to reply.

Of course you may add the cemetery photo. I don't know why it's not showing up already.

Kind regards,
Heather

RE: Joseph F. Przybycien
Hi Roberta,

You are quite welcome. I take special interest in this cemetery. I want to give each veteran here a suitable memorial page appropriate to respect and honor them for their service. Eventually I will follow up with a photo of his stone, once it is installed. Just let me know if you wish to have his memorial transferred to you.

With respect,

Dave

Chester Factory Village
I ran up there tonight after dinner (gotta love the long sun-lit days we have this time of year). It is more like 15 miles from downtown Westfield up to Chester, but it's a great ride. The towns go Westfield, then Russell, then Huntington and Chester (and Becket if you go any further).

Chester
The best way to get to the cemetery is to go via Franklin St. Westfield (downtown) it will carry you right straight to it. If you take the Mass Pike to Westfield, take a right and follow the road towards downtown. Go over a bridge and down keep straight, just after big CVS on your right is Franklin St, so you take that right. Just drive right into Chester, its probably 8 miles or so not sure. The cemetery will be on your left.

Schott & family
Roberta, thank you for the wonderful, yet very sad photos of little Dick Schott. It is great to have something like that to remember his short life. I was looking for others in the cemetery for that family and discovered it had not been entered completely into Find a Grave. I am doing that now, later today have a look and see if any other relatives are there. I did put in a Laura Dandurand, not sure if she connects. I had always assumed Beckie Cross did everything, but evidently not and I was sitting on this transcript more than a year. The cemetery is 5 minutes from my house, I may go today and photograph what isn't online. Thanks for everything. Jim

Baby Schott
Hello Roberta, I believe this could be your "Scott". He died in 1933, there was grass covering the year of death in my photo but I checked the transcript and it was 1933. I have corrected it. There are no other Schott's buried in the entire town of Chester, I have the complete transcript.
He is buried in between a Lucy Wilcox (wife of Elbridge) & a Chapin Wilcox. Do those names sound familiar? Let me know. Jim

RE: Johann Stoeckel
Hi Roberta!

Since we both live in the area and we both have about 13 1/2 years with FG, I'm sure we've met at some point! Do you belong to the Western Mass Genealogical Society (WMGS)? Do you do any research at the Museum of Springfield History and Archives? I belong to WMGS and I work with John O'Connor at the museum every Friday.

At any rate, I'm on the hunt for Barbara's obit or death cert to see if I can get a record on where she's buried. I've found "Mrs August Beeler," maiden name Stoeckel, who died in 1922 is buried at Forestdale; Paul Stoeckel who published a German newspaper in Hartford was in trouble forfailure to file and English translation of a newspaper article; marriage intentions for Margaretha Stoeckel; marriage intentions for Anna Stoeckel. Also, there are no mentions of Barbara at the NEHGS site under "Barbara Stoeckel" for any year!

Can't find Barbara....at least yet! However, I'd say that if there was a spouse anywhere nearby, I most likely would have photographed it and uploaded a memorial for her. That only eliminates Forestdale. If she didn't remarry, I'd suggest a visit to the Holyoke City Clerk's office. If she did remarry, that same office should have a record of it and then we could search for her with her new last name.

It's getting late and I'm falling asleep! Sorry I can't get beyond this for you...

If necessary, you can contact me at dave@oldbones.info.

I added a photo of her stone. I did not enter her date of birth because the year is different than what you have entered.

Eva Dennis
I was updating some of my family links and noticed that you had Eva Dubour Dennis created and called her Aunt in the Flower part of her memorial.

Eva's father Henry and my great-grandmother Laura were brother and sister, children of Godfoui & Octavia (Mongeau) Dubour.

My great-grandmother was Laura Dubour Arnett, the youngest child. I think Henry was the oldest or one of the oldest. How are you related to Eva? Jim
