Thank you for following FindAGrave procedures.
Contributor Connie posted this. I thought it was such a great idea I posted it to my page! Thanks, Connie!
Find a Grave has implemented a new way to submit Edits! Unfortunately, there are far too many members for Find a Grave to notify everyone via email, so it's up to us to get the word out. If every member posts this message (or similar) in their profile, hopefully we can help spread the word.
To suggest a correction (SAC) click on the edit tab of the memorial that needs to be corrected. Then click on the link which best describes where your edit should occur. Enter your correction, when you're done, click submit edit. Your request will be sent to the manager of the memorial and will appear in the managers' profile under the Edits tab.
Managers will no longer receive emails. They must go directly to their profile page and click on the Edits tab. Managers can approve, deny or ignore, suggested corrections. It's quick and easy!
Requesting a transfer other corrections are still handled the same way. Click on "suggest any other correction or addition," type your message and press "send this message." The manager of the memorial will receive an email.
Please ask permission before posting my personal family photographs, photographs I have taken of grave stones or biographical material I have written from my memorial pages on this site to Ancestry.com or any other website or personal webpages.
Please see FindAGrave Frequently Asked questions for more information:
How do I get a relative's memorial transferred to me?
First, Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. Transferring of management should only be requested If you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree.
Many thanks to everyone who has contributed information and photos for my memorials. I usually link to the individual contributor using HTML code. If this is unacceptable to you just let me know you prefer to remain anonymous.

Love those photos - thanks so much!
|Donna Bloxton "Jesus Girl"||RE: Estelle Bloxton Eustace|
I hesitated about adding her real first name for that very reason. We in the family always knew her as Estelle or Aunt Tillie. THANK YOU for the beautiful job you did explaining about her name in her bio! I'm so pleased!
GOD BLESS YOU!
In our Lord Jesus' Love,
In love with our Lord Jesus,
The Resurrection and The Life,
Donna Bloxton (Estelle's great-grandniece)

Yes, and she shows up as Delia at least once too. She had an aunt Lorilda who shows up as Sesilda, Cesilda, Lorilia, and at least one other version. I know the surviving census records are version 2.0, being the transcribed sheets from the enumerators' field records, so twice the chance to get something wrong.
Add the fact Ancestry outsources their census indexing to foreign countries and the error rate bumps up. For this reason I often double-check names against the American-volunteer indexed census versions on FamilySearch to see if there's something a little different and more logical. Though with some names I realize there's never going to be consensus due to simple lack of records.
I appreciate the suggestion about the DC Belts but so far I've never found a connection. Also have the impression most of the Belts were a rung or two up the economic ladder from my Knights, etc., who were Methodist Episcopalians vs. the Belts who seem to be Presbyterians. Small differences but maybe not to them in those days.
|D. Goodboe||Re: Adelia Bell Knight Taylor|
Hi, sorry this is a bit long but it contains my one and only primary source plus my inferences. If you're more comfortable adding the alternate spelling in the bio as a note please feel free to do so. Adelia Taylor is a 1st cousin 3x removed to me but I don't care who has stewardship of her memorial page. It's just very nice to see it presented on Findagrave and thanks for doing so.
I realize there are two record sources for her middle name being Belt, but there are also two censuses showing her first name as Cordelia, which is not correct. She doesn't seem to have had a previous marriage before marrying Ben Taylor at age 20. The only record source for Adelia's middle name is:
District of Columbia, Select Deaths and Burials, 1840-1964 - Adelia Bell Taylor, FHL Film Number: 2115159
Reference ID: cn 155163.
However, private letters I've seen but do not own show the family had some connection with a Bell family in North Carolina. Adelia's grandmother Lucy Perry was a visitor to these Bells - I haven't been able to determine if they were friends or relatives - and the name Bell, without an "e" on the end, appears as a middle name for two of Adelia Taylor's nieces. Adelia's daughter Lucy Taylor married a Dr. Carey Linwood Bell of NC. I suspect he was known to Lucy because of long-standing family or friendship ties, such that young Lucy was able to meet Carey and eventually marry him.
Again, handle this as you think best, but it might be useful to someone down the line to see the middle name Bell referenced in some way. Thanks.

Where did you find the year 1875? I found this child on the Nationwide Gravesite Locator but there was no year listed. If you have any further information, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Hi! I'm related to his wife, Peggy Kevand. Do you have any pictures of them?
|Johnny Wesch||Herman and Elizabeth Dessauer|
wanted to thank you for the great job you did on these 2 memorials. The picture of Herman (70774870) allowed me to catch a mistake, I had the wrong passport photo for him. If you don't mind Id like to use the profile you added for him on my ancestry account and my family tree page on facebook. Both are private and only family members can see them. Thanx so much, Johnny

I noticed the additions and they are much appreciated.

I had accidentally uploaded the wrong picture - I took the correct one today.
