Hello, my name is Karl Stelly. I'm 60 years old, and I'm originally from Lafayette, Louisiana. I've lived in Baytown, Texas, Tulare, California, Great Falls, Montana, Killeen, Texas, Manassas, Virginia, and Louisville, Kentucky. I moved to Gettysburg with my fiance about 8 years ago. I enjoy roaming the battlefield and photography, and studying the history of Gettysburg and the Civil War. I have quite a few photographs of Gettysburg and other Civil War battlefields and other historic sites posted on Google Earth. I use the name "Seven Stars" on Panoramio and Google Earth. If you see photos there by "Seven Stars," that's me!

Many thanks for your posting on my great uncle, Chester Smith, my paternal great grandmother's brother. I appreciate your studying and posting these notes. He has another marker (cenotaph) on the duplicate posting in Collins, NY at the NOrth Collins Quaker Meeting House Cemetery with his family. Again, it is appreciated.
Marianne Bradley - Find A Grave #46933504.
Hey Karl, just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to take the photo of the grave marker for my family and I. We appreciate it very much!

Hello Gentle Volunteer. Thank you so much for your efforts to find Horace's gravesite. I appear to have sent you on a wild goose chase. I do apologize for that, and hope the day was successful for you in other ways. Merry Christmas, and thank you for the work you're doing to preserve history. Sharon
|Mary Lou Hedden||Chafatelli|
I am a Chafatelli by birth. I was wondering about the infant sons of Sgt. C. A. Chafatelli that are buried at Gettysburg. I am wondering who Sgt. C. A. Chafatelli is, as I have no knowledge of this relative. Thanks
Karl, thanks for the heads-up,Ted
|Robin Arvickson||Lloyd Watts|
I'm working on a volume of grave locations for veterans of the USCT (concentrating mainly on those buried in PA). Could I have your permission to use the picture you posted of Lloyd Watts in this compilation? I will cite you as the source.

Thanks for the correction & sorry about the duplicate. I've deleted my memorial.

I do not have that portrait in my current computer, and I do not have a scanner right now. You can make a copy of it from your memorial, if you have not already. You can use it for anything you wish.
|Leon Edmund Basile||Col. James B. Walton|
I just noticed that early this year, a different Find a Grave contributor posted another memorial of Col. Walton, and I guess the reason he was able to make such duplicate is because he added "Sr." after the Colonel's name. The contributor wrote a very long bio, and the memorial has a color portrait, not the portrait I posted in your memorial. That contributor also says where the Colonel is buried.

Thanks - Never hurts to double check:)
