I have been interested in genealogy for about 11 years. I enjoy adding information to FAG and I enjoy adding obits to the memorials. I go to the Columbia, Marion County, Ms. Court House to go through the old news papers and add the obits to FAG. I appreciate everyone that has added the obits on the memorials. I am interested in the following names in my family tree: Fortenberry, Forbes, Tolar, Crawley, Merritt, Mullins, and McCleland (McLeland).

I have gone out to this location twice
to find the Old Williams Cemetery in Jefferson
Davis Co. I had no luck finding the 3 head stones
I was wondering if you went to the site or if
you just put the information on find a grave.
If you did go to the old Williams cemetery and
did see the 3 head stones could you please help
assist me on the best way I could get to the head
stones. Thank you for your help

RE: Tolar
Thank you for the information, and yes I am aware of all of her siblings and of Bertie Ophelia, her sister. She used to tell me about her, about her brother Walter Jr., and she told me what little she could recall of her other siblings; however, she did not grow up with them. She said her father had her come visit some times, but that it was not often enough. She mainly grew up as a Buckley, and identified her self as one. She was very sorry that she had never met her mother, but thought of her grandmother as a mother. In her later years, there was a time when she had forgotten that Susie Reeves Buckley had died, and when told by my Aunt Ruby, she began to cry for her mother, as in Susie. It was very sad. She wished that she could have known better her siblings, but they did not see one another except for occasions like reunions and such. She did not know very much about the youngest of her siblings, but she loved them all.
Sincerely,
Talmia Slade Burr

Glen Dale sent me her obit, and I posted it. I'll get around to typing it, one of these days.

John Jacob Watts
It appears there are 2 grave sites for this man. One added by Ann Berry McNair #58645448 in Watts Cemetery, Silver Creek, Lawrence County. Another added by you #109172510 in Oatis Cemetery, Jefferson Davis County.
They have the very same pictures of a headstone? Would love to know which cemetery he is in? Thanks for your help.

RE: Wilks
Shirley, Harris Wilkes was born about 1861 in Lawrence County, MS. He was the son of Abner James Wilkes (#40317052) and Elizabeth Ann Buckley Wilkes (#40317263). However, I don't know where he is buried at this time.
