I authorize anyone to use my Find a Grave images in Wikipedia or their own family research, under the creative commons attribution license cc-by-2.5, where the attribution is 'R.E.H.'."

Going forward, unless there is a compelling reason, I will only transfer listings of people someone knew closely, i.e. parent, child or close friend. I'm sorry, but someone who died 200 years ago could be related to thousands of people. I prefer you add one of my listings under your umbrella using the virtual cemetery feature at Find A Grave. If you have additional information, I will happily add it and list you as the contributor.

Also, please do not ask me add an obituary to a person's memorial. see Find A Grave policy below:

Can I add an obituary to my interment listing?
It is best to not copy obituary notices from newspapers to an individual's memorial record unless you have permission from the newspaper to do so. In general, obituaries in newspapers are submitted by the family. If the obituary is added to the memorial record, it should list the newspaper and date the obit was printed. Find A Grave reserves the right to remove obituary notices from memorial records.
Obituaries for "famous" individuals are usually written by newspaper staff and can not be posted to Find A Grave.
Please do not include website addresses that may be listed in the obituary as they usually expire within a year after the obituary is printed.

link Anna Schultz Roecker to parents
Hi Rich,
Can you either link Anna Schultz Roecker (7117194) to her parents, August Schultz (46197880) and Augusta Schultz (46248876) or transfer management? Anna was my great grandmother.
Thanks. Sue

Thomas Reeve parents
Hi Rich,

Thanks for your work posting these photos and info on various graves far away from me! I wanted to pass along a correction in your Thomas Reeve (1684 to 1761) posting for Old Bethany Cemetery in Mattituck, NY. The James Reeve and Deborah Satterly you have posted as his father and mother are actually his older brother and his wife. Thomas's father was James Reeve (1651 to 1698) and mother was likely Mary Terry. There is a good study of this family by Wesley Baker published in 1970 and available on

Thanks again!

Nov 6 seminar

My husband, Bob, and I recently gave a presentation at the Hunterdon County Library about the cemeteries of the county for the Tricentennial. Included in this event is a county-wide “scavenger hunt” where participants will return on Nov 6 and collect prizes for their participation at the Main Branch Library. We wanted to make that return lecture an informal meet and greet where anyone interested in getting involved, whether it be in cemetery restoration, work at the Historical Society with cemetery records, working in support of specific cemeteries, or with findagrave. Whatever it may be, and offering a way for like minded cemetery folks to network, share resources, advice, and the like. I am extending an invitation, hoping you are available and would like to come out and share you own expertise with the group. It’s, November 6, 7-9 PM at the Hunterdon County Main Branch Library. If you can make it let me know, thanks.
