I have been interested in genealogy for about 11 years. I enjoy adding information to FAG and I enjoy adding obits to the memorials. I go to the Columbia, Marion County, Ms. Court House to go through the old news papers and add the obits to FAG. I appreciate everyone that has added the obits on the memorials. I am interested in the following names in my family tree: Fortenberry, Forbes, Tolar, Crawley, Merritt, Mullins, and McCleland (McLeland).

Harriet Fortenberry Whittom
Thank you Shirley for all your hard work. I have a question about the citing for HARRIET WHITTOM. Her tombstone has HARRIET WHITTOM STEWART on it. I think she was married to ANDREW STEWART. My research shows they were married on 28 Jan 1897 in Columbia, Marion Co., Mississippi, and they are listed on the 1900 census. She is on the 1920 census listed as a widow.
I am trying to find out when and where ANDREW STEWART(b 1825 in South Carolina and first married to Sarah) died and is buried.
Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Sally Lamar
Fortenberry ancestry connection
Hello Shirley, My name is Sally Lamar, I am also related to the Fortenberry ancestry. My 2nd great grandmother was Missouri Julia Fortenberry. My great-grandmother was Sallie Pope Lewis. and my grandmother was Eva Lewis McCormick. My mother was Helen Lewis. My family is from Foxworth, Mississippi. However, I live in Kansas City, Missouri, recently retired and now getting interested in my ancestry. How are you related to the Fortenberry family? I was so suprized that lots of children were born and wonder if they all stayed in Mississippi. Would you know if any Lewis family members are still living? I have pictures of me with them as a child and anxious to find anyone that might be have some answers.
Thank you, Sally Lamar

John Grimsley
Find A Grave# 109771924
Do you have any additional information regarding John Grimsley? I am descended from his son John I. Grimsley and his wife Emily Holmes. I have been trying to identify John I. Grimsley's mother or his father's parents. Though Susan Guy might be his mom but marriage license shows Susan Cook was married to Henry Guy and then to John Grimsley and her marriage to John Grimsley happened when John I Grimsley was about 7 years old. I would appreciate any information you can find.

Thanks!
