I am working on maintaining Middlesex (Map), Essex (Map) and Suffolk (Map) counties in Massachusetts.|
If any information I enter is incorrect, you wish to add something, or would like a direct relative within four generations transferred just let me know. (per F.A.G. guidelines FAQ79) If requesting a transfer please make sure to say how you are related.
Please use the 'Edit' tab on the upper right hand corner of the memorial for any of the above requests. Thank-you.
This is Find A GRAVE. Please do not ask me to link to 'burial unknowns'. I will be more than happy to do so when the location is found. Take a moment to read FAQ146 regarding unknown burials.
In case you do not wish to read FAQ146 it states "Location of body unknown is used for recent deaths where the disposition is not currently known. Final disposition must be determined and updated within 30 days."

Oh -- and you're welcome for the info. Glad I could be of help. Documentation from that many years ago is sometimes confusing.

If this link won't work for you, let me know and I'll send it to you that way.
This is a link to his death certificate. (I've been able to get much information from this site and have volunteered with input for them as well.)

I read your note on my photo request and appreciate your effort. However, if you'd read his short bio, you'd have seen a grave marker was present in 1901, regardless of what the Historic Society there says.
Another point of interest is that his name was spelled Davies, not Davis. (The link to his daughter includes the family name spelled this way, as all Davis' originally were spelled in England.) His Civil War records erroneously record his name as "Davis".
I's appeciate it if you'd remove your comment since it will discourage other potential volunteers from looking.

Hi Denise, re your correction request. It does appear that I created a duplicate page and I will delete it. I'm sorry about that.
|Carol Conroy||Whitcomb, Oliver A|
Hi Denise, in reply to your correction request. Your Oliver Whitcomb was born in 1889 apparently (#27358952). Mine (#94176488) was born in 1829 and was married to Harriet A. Whitcomb (1837-1920). They did not appear to be duplicates to me when I created the page.
