Bio and Links
Bio Photo We work as a team: Russian-Danish family living in London. Having just completed a few years in the Middle East, we are moving to our next adventure in China. County-keepers for England. Being foreigners in the countries we live in, we are very interested in all Russians and Danes who found their last resting place away from their home countries. We will be grateful for any comments, advice and links to memorials. Thanks to this wonderful website we have found many friends all over the world and the amount of mails we receive increase all the time. We appreciate all the mails and ALWAYS reply but sometimes it takes longer than we would like to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We prefer to get your questions and corrections through e-mail (use the EDIT tab in the memorial). Please include your own e-mail in case we need to write back to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Valentina Ivanovna Chapman
Hi Julia & Keld
I am writing on behalf of my friend Nicola whose godmother was Valentina, who was married to her uncle Maurice Milsom Chapman. Nicola lost contact with her many years ago & would love to know if you have any more details regarding her life &
acting career. We believe she lived parts of her life in Switzerland, England & of course Russia making her difficult to trace.
Many Thanks

Sir Harry George Wakelyn Smith

Interesting to see this grave on here. My brother lies only ten yards away. I was a scholar at the Sir Harry Smith school, which actually borders the cemetery to the east.

John Baldwin Hay

I appreciate all the photos you are taking and posting to FindAGrave especially since some/all of them are in countries outside the US.

I am a Hite descendant (Eleanore "Nelly" Conway Madison married Isaac Hite) and John Baldwin Hay is a grand-nephew of the US President James Madison through his sister, Eleanore "Nelly" Conway Madison.

He is a distant cousin of mine.

I have a question regarding your photo for John Baldwin Hay's marker. Is it possible you know what the marker's inscription says? There appears to be writing on the marker in the photo but I cannot read it.

Thank you for all your hard work photographing marker for all of us.

RE: Photo ID
Wow. Thanks. What I meant by "notation" is that sometimes people put pictures of cemetery statues with cemetery ID photos. So, I thought this could be something like that. Thanks again.

RE: Benjamin Herschel Babbage
Hi Julia & Keld
I have created a new cemetery in Find a Grave
I have added a photo of the Church with some headstones in it, It is pending approval and so may take a few days to appear
I have added basic data for the Babbages at for Benjamin with the photo of him from his existing memorial plus his headstone photo from the webpage you gave me for
Laura with the headstone photo also from the website you gave me

I have also created a link between the couple but not any other links to family as shown on the existing memorial. I will leave that up to you guys

You will be free and clear to remove the existing memorials from the Anglican Church here in NSW once you are sure you have any data from their memorials copied over to the new memorials

Once that is completed you can select the transfer memorial link to put your names back as Managers of the Babbages Memorial

Tadeusz Krieger

I'm very interested where you got the 2nd picture of Tadeusz Krieger from (where he is being given a medal/ribbon. He was my grandad and none of us in the family have ever seen that picture, so i am curious :-)

Photo ID
You added photos to memorial 8867 (Hugh de Courtenay). Is the grave photo of Hugh and his wife's grave or is it a general photo for the cathedral grounds? Have to ask as there is notation.

RE: Benjamin Herschel Babbage
Hi Julia & Keld
The Cemetery where the Babbages are buried is in South Australia which is another state of Australia. There doesn't appear to be a cemetery generated in find a grave for this cemetery on South Rd so you might like to start one. Then you may like to put the Babbages in there and remove them from St Mary's Magdelene here in Sydney NSW
There is approx. 1500 kms between here and South Australia
Kind Regards
Kevin Roe
