Born and reared in Southern California until age 12 at which point our father moved us to his hometown in Southern Missouri. After graduating from High School in West Plains, MO, I have attended college, served four years in the Army, and worked in the construction industry which has allowed me to live in or visit 48 of the 50 states and a few foreign countries. I currently live in Central Indiana. My love of family history keeps me roaming cemeteries wherever and whenever possible. I have been a serious genealogist for about 15 years. The photo shows me beside the military marker of my 2nd great grand uncle, Samuel L. Gannon, Indiana 1st Heavy Artillery located in the National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.|

I just noticed that you'd added a photo of his headstone on his memorial. Thank you so much! The photo is lovely and I'm happy to see that his grave is marked after all.

Would you please add the directions to the Shepherd Cemetery, Carlisle, Sullivan Co. Indian. Shepherd Cemetery about halfway between Carlisle and Oaktown. From Carlisle going south on 41 go down to Cox Equipment Store on left side, go little way pass store on right you will see the sign for the Shaker Prairie Christian Church and Shepherd Cemetery under light poll, go pass sign and turn right onto 975 South. Go about 3 or 4 miles to S curve road turns into 1025 South, go about 2 or 3 miles to Bedford stone house on left there is a sharp S curve roads turns into 1050 South go about 2 miles to Shaker Prairie Christian Church on left side. Shepherd Cemetery is by the church. There is other listing for the same cemetery with the wrong address. It is listed as Shepherd Cemetery, Oaktown, Knox Co. Indiana it has the same cemetery sign and church pictures. We were just out there Saturday July 13.
Memorial 12850747 has the wrong tombstone photo on it. Can you fix it?

You are welcome It was a pleasure to fulfill your request
Charles - I wanted to let you know that I have been to Vernon cemetery on 3 different occasions trying to get a good photo of the Torbet stone you requested. I'm going to try one more time, and will just have to post what I have. It's a very "shallowly" carved stone and it's just plain hard to read! Thought I'd let you know!!!

She is not buried at the same cemetery as Charles.
