I live in East Tennessee. My husband and I have been doing genealogy for about 45 years on the Reneau/Reno and Damewood lines and have traveled to many states gathering information on these lines. We have photographed some tombstones on our lines in the East Tennessee area and I have added them to Find-A-Grave. I am not kin to most of the people in Lynnhurst and Greenwood but have photographed and added them to Find-A-Grave as a service to others who are researching their ancestors.

I will handle your suggestions to memorials as I have time.

It is not necessary to send me copies of censuses, death records, etc. Most of the ones I have posted, I do not know.

RE: Lynnhurst
The cemetery is operated by a different management company than when I lived in Knoxville, and they probably are unaware of the cave. The cave, I am certain, was considered an extreme liability, and is probably not discenable today. It is mentioned in a book published by TVA, title, I believe, is simply 'The Caves of Tennessee,' and, as I said, almost all of them are on private property. The bookstores probably won't have it: it is a reference book for geologists and spelunkers, etc. It's what's known as a trade paperback: it's the same format and size as the hardback would be, no pictures on the printed cover, looks like a technical handbook, which is what it is. As I remember, each chapter covers a county, and Knox County contains several, some around Loudon Lake. My uncle knew about the cave. A lot of people did, but there are lots of crazy kids who will do crazy things. I understand why they would close it up, and much as I love a cave, I can't say I wouldn't do the same, had I that liability.

I just want to say thank you and God bless you for your dedication to helping others through Find A Grave. You ARE helping many and greatly so. I started my family journey back in the 80's and at that time travelled to many cemeteries to document my work. Now I am at and age and health issues and am unable to. You and others like you are still making it possible for me to visit cemeteries and grave stones of family. I hope you will not mind my making copies of your photos for my files. I am working on family on Ancestry and Family Tree Maker and hope to leave a lot of info for my loved ones and others to get to know their family heritage. Thank you for helping me out.
May God continue to bless you in your work.
