Hello! My name is Geneva. I was born in 1968 and I have three grown children. I am married to a wonderful man who has been in the military since he was 17 years old. I was very happy to locate this "Find a Grave " site! My mother, Paulette C. White died of terminal cancer 2/25/2009 and left her geneology notes for me to keep. While looking through them and organizing them, I became addicted to searching for more and more pieces of my history puzzle. I have found visiting graveyards to be very informative! Finding a web site that allows me to see the tombstone pics without getting out in the cold is wonderful! (Of course I will still visit and collect my own but I'm so happy when I find another piece of the puzzle!) I have photographed many cemeteries already while searching for my roots and I look foward to sharing my info! Who knows, I may find more of family and friends this way! I cant wait to see what connections I make! Feel free to contact me if I have anything that interests you! I also have a tree on Ancestry.com!
The Paynes Thank you for the corrections. They have been made. I am not related to them. Bianca and I worked together doing many cemeteries in Tennessee and North Carolina and when she passed in January I was given care of her memorials.
Memorial # 973316 I also wanted to ask your permission if I could use a copy of your photo for my family tree. The tombstone is of C.C. McDaniel (Memorial # 973316). I will make sure that you are credited for your photography.
RE: Howard Edwards Waters Jr I went ahead and transferred the memorial to you. I don't believe I am related to Howard. I was just in the cemetery looking for my own relatives and thought I'd save someone else the trip since it is kind of hard to get to.
C. E. Blevins stone Geneva, you did a great job with the picture of Pvt Blevins' headstone. What it has is "C. E. Blevins / Co. G / 13th Tenn. Cav.", no dates at all. This is a US government marker issued to Civil War soldiers. It is in great need of replacement, which the government will do for free. I've already asked a friend in east Tennessee to help get a new stone for this veteran. Thanks for your help!
RE: obit for Fred Davis Thank you so much for your kind message. I only add flowers so the decision to add an obit should be the person who created the memorial. I am sure they will want the extra info. Again, thank you so much for your kind thoughts, Best ever, Sarah.
Leafy McInturff Thank you so much for the nice photo. I appreciate your effort. My email server no longer seems to be delivering photo request fulfillment messages from FindAGrave, so I apologize since it's been a while since you posted your photo.
