My name is Ruth (Wilson) Lowell. I was born in Inkerman,(now Baker) WV. My parents were the late Howard and Daisye (Combs) Wilson. |
I have been interested in Genealogy since May of 1980. I became very interested when a man knocked on my door one day and asked if he could go over and talk to my dad. That they had told him up at Smith's store that if anyone knew anything about the older people around here my dad would.
The man had a large blue book with Book Of Remembrance written on it. I asked him where he got it and he gave the information so I could order one. It had pages just perfect for recording your family genealogy.
I knew when my mother and dad was gone I would need it. My main list of surnames are Wilson, Coby, Combs, Baker, Hines, Saville, Wilkins, Lowell, Toler, Litton, Parker, Shanholtzer, Teets, Hunter and Miller.
PHOTO USE: PLEASE, NO USING MY PHOTO'S WITHOUT MY PERMISSION! No use of my photos for any other website is given!!
I do not intentionally duplicate any ones entry, so if that does happen, please let me know and I will delete it, only if theirs has a lower memorial # than mine and the date added is before mine. In regard to duplicates, a memorial with a correct known burial location will always be preferred by Find A Grave rules.

#62968097 Isaac Snyder.
I am trying to locate the parents of a Joseph Snyder Memorial #143427395 who was married to a Christena Miller and died in Putnam Co., Ohio. His death certificate seem to indicate his parents were an Isaac Snyder and a Ann Cones?(Possibly Combs). Both families are on the same page in the 1850 Census in Hardy Co., Virginia only the birth year is off. If you look at the info on Joseph's memorial maybe you might have some insight on this family. I think there is a connection somewhere. Helping a friend out with her Snyder family.

You are quite welcome Ruth. I would really prefer that family members take over whether they are really close, or more a more distant family. I am glad that I could connect you.

|HELEN WILSON||FLEMING WILSON|
Hi Ruth, I live in Omagh, Northern Ireland and I research the family of my Husband, Wilson. I have a Sarah Wilson whose family originated from her married to Pollock and their son was Gov of Pennsylvania, would you have info on that side of the family. I got the information from an entrance form filled in by Rev James Wilson of Brazos Texas where he stated he was born in the home of his great grandfather, the same as Gov Pollock of Pennsylvania. It is suggested that this great grandfather is Fleming Wilson and Margaret Bainbridge, however some people have his family all being born in USA but I have at least two of his descendants being born here in Omagh and still have family living. Could you help me out if you have any info, I would appreciate it so much, thank you

In the photo of Frederick Hunter, do you have any idea of who is in the old photo on the wall behind them?

Hi, I am looking at trying to get a picture that has already been asked for by another person back in 2014. I was wondering if you are close where you might be able to help us. The memorial is for
Jesse Cunningham #113976605.
Your help would be greatly appreciated. If by chance you can not if you know of someone else please let me know.

Was Melvin Miller ever married?
PS Coming back in June for Jenkins reunion.

Thank you for your kind words.
To date I corrected some 8000 (!) errors, typos, etc. Willliams (3 lll), Jonse (Jones). Antionette (AntOInette), etc etc etc. The list is endless...
And then there are people FIGHTING over a bad spelling "It is on the gravestone!". Well, who could read and write (correctly) 100 or more years ago?
A wonderful site: Findagrave!
Have a nice day.

Can you tell me when and where Francelia married Benjamin J. Whetzel? What last name was she using at the time...Whetzel, Gordon or Wolf?
I have transferred the Wilson's to you. Look at my memorials, I have more Wilson's listed in Mercer and McDowell County, WV and Pike County Kentucky. If those are who you are looking for, I will transfer those also.
I have been doing my research since the mid 90's and have been addicted since. Sad to hear you had to have a Liver Transplant, but great to hear they found you one!
|Valerie Neal||RE: Saville's and Shanholtz's|
There are some Wilsons buried at Indian Mound also if you would like me to transfer them
