Retired military and living near Antietam battlefield. |
IF YOU NEED FAMILY LINKS MADE, PUT YOUR REQUEST HERE. MY EMAIL ACCOUNT HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING SOME ISSUES. THANKS
ALSO...TO ANSWER THE QUESTION ASKED BY Dave Lehman (#47034421)....I HAVE NOT BEEN A "DICK" AT ALL IN MY LIFE. I HAVE BEEN TOO BUSY WITH 27 YEARS OF MILITARY SERVICE, OVER A DECADE OF CIVILIAN POLICE WORK....and putting a few times as many entries into Findagrave as you. As anyone can see I have not really had the time to waste any of MY life being...or calling anyone a "DICK", Dave.
If I have added a family member or a good friend, I am happy to transfer memorials. I am not bothered by F.A.G. guidelines in transfers. I am concerned about getting family members "back together." I DO transfer distant relatives since they SHOULD be with family.
I am also happy to transfer memorials of close friends as well as family.
REMEMBER, these sites are in memory of someones' ancestors. If you place a photo on a memorial, make it good enough that you would be happy with it on your own.
All men die...not all men really live.
I am looking for Charles & Flo Liddington. Flo died in 1972. Charlie was alive in 1974. They were my mothers' mother & step-father.
I believe they lived modestly within a half hour of Danville, PA. Also, I am searching for any info regarding the roster for the 33rdBattalion of the Maryland Militia. An ancestor I am searching for, Thomas Mock, who served with this unit in New Jersey in 1777 under George Washington. He had a wife names Sarah and parents were George & Catherine Mock. They were from "SUPPOSEDLY" living between Sharpsburg and Middletown, Washington County, MD.

Thank you very much for the photo of my 3rd great grandfather John Winters' grave
Hello and thank you so very much for the photo of this grave stone. I think it is the quickest response to a photo request ever! If you don't mind, I have a couple of questions. I have Silas with the middle name of Franklin. The WV birth index has this and the death index has middle initial F; all the dates match. I noticed the stone has a discoloration over the middle initial; is it possible that this is an F vs. an E? Silas is my second cousin, 2x removed; would you be interested in transferring him to me? And finally, may I use your photo in my ancestry tree? (I always give credit to the photographer.)
There are three more of my Starrys in the Reformed Graveyard. I will be entering photo requests for them.
Thank you again, and especially thank you for your service - both military and civilian, including all of the resources you have given your time to provide here.

Thanks so much! I've done the edits that were pending on the memorials that transferred, but 5 didn't come through:
86317311 Lucy Young
85997535 Cadville Young
84035732 Merhl Alexander
100559695 Lloyd Sterner
100559694 Margaret Sterner
I left the edits for them pending, and I left them in the temp virtual cemetery, but took out the ones that were done.
I'm sorry to be adding to your "do list" again, but I do appreciate your time in doing this... in addition to creating the memorials in the first place. Thank you!

Once again I would like to thank you for taking your time to take the photo of Eva Miller's headstone for me. I truly appreciate the many times you have done this for me!

Thank you SO MUCH for taking and posting those pictures of Eliza and Annie Davis from the Bakersville cemetery! I live in the West and am in college so it would be very difficult for me to go there and take the pictures myself. Thank you again for the time that you spent to go and find those graves and get the beautiful pictures!!
