|I love history, genealogy, and photography, and have fond memories of my grandfather taking me to his favorite cemetery and telling stories of all the people he knew. But it wasn't until I was researching the history of our house(s) that I found myself trying to figure out whether previous owners had stuck around and were buried in local cemeteries. I took a photo and then another and another. |
I love hearing from people all around the world who are looking for a loved one or a long lost relative.
If everyone who died in a war, declared or undeclared, was listed on FAG, there would be no more wars. I love the idea that people can be remembered, forever.

I meant Turner folks, sorry I got off course.
I hope I haven't asked before but do you know anything about these people?

You are welcome! I too, enjoyed reading them. Some of the old obits can be very interesting.
I also submitted auto edits for both of them.

I enjoy the history that goes with taking photographs. Thanks for your work and giving me that opportunity, I suspect you took a photo yourself. It is in a poorly lit location. Graceland's 100K burials will not be finished in my lifetime I don't believe. I may try though. Regards, Bob Lerch

Thank you so much for your photograph. It means more than you know. Carol
Thanks for the response on my recent SACs to you. I'll contact the other person with your suggestions.
I've set a goal of bringing the percentage of graves photographed well into the 90s. I love Fort Sheridan! The Army is so great about keeping things in order! It's so easy to find graves there, and I add section and plot numbers where needed on memorials.

Thanks for the transfer. By the way, found out through another volunteer that the reason Charles E., the grave next to J.A., was not listed in the 1850 census is that no child born after June 1 was. I am going to guess that it had something to do with the high infant mortality rate.
