Genealogy has become a hobby, enjoy the quest. Luckily for me, most of my lineage was published, so I began the search for the cemetery photography. This site is a favorite source for me and I am glad to have been part of it's databank. I am tropicalsquaw on ancestry. Photos posted by me are for sharing, not for sale. IF you use any of my photos, source them to findagrave and myself|
, otherwise you would not be seeing them. Thank you administrators!...the edit feature has to be replied to now. please remember some of the links were not always available. be kind. in order to be able to manage my data, I decline most edits. I source, if I am not sure, I will not change information.

Many thanks for your headstone photography. I know what's involved in traveling to the cemetery, finding the plots, sometimes cleaning the headstones, taking the pictures, and uploading them; all for a perfect stranger. I really appreciate your efforts.
Thanks and best regards, Karl Hamlin

|Gwendolyn cresswell||Memorial search|
Hi Paula, my name is Gwen Cresswell and I am searching for a memorial for a Lavina Johnson Potter. It could be spelled differently. It may even be Thomas. Her last marriage was Potter. Born 21 Feb 1897 died 24 mar 1975. She was supposed to be buried in Asheville, NC but apparently her daughter wanted her buried in Woodlawn Memorial. If you can let me know if there is a stone or memorial for her I would appreciate it so that I can join her with her parents and siblings. Thanks, Gwen
|Brett Stuart||Martha J Dowdy|
Hi, This is Mitzi Morgan Stuart and Martha J. Dowdy buried at New Dowdy Cemetery was my gg grandmother. Are you related to her also? Do you have any information about her parents or spouse James? I have spent hours looking for information on this family and haven't had much luck. This is probably a long shot but figured I have nothing to lose. Thanks for your reply.

You are right about making any changes for her. I have checked all my census books for 1870 & 1880 and no record of her. I think I got my info from Bo Jones ancestry site. She could not be Newton's daughter since they had another daughter, Dora, born the same year but different month. Sorry, about the wrong info. Let me know if you find her. I got your message on face book and when I went back later to answer, could not find it. I am not too up on face book.
