I am ALWAYS willing to transfer management of memorials to family members (and possibly anyone else who might "care" more about the memorial)! Please don't hesitate to ask! :)
I am also VERY WILLING to correct/update ANY information on a memorial I may be managing. I DO NOT feel any "ownership" to most of these memorials....I have just happened to snap the photo of the gravestone usually. (Not counting my own family's memorials.) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE contact me about anything I may have wrong or misspelled or typo-ed or goofed-up.
Now that THAT is out of the way....
Have always had a fondness for cemeteries. Loved walking them in Europe as well. Arlington is amazing; my father-in-law is buried there, and we lived near there for many years, so I visited it often. We live in an area surrounded by tiny cemeteries, so my daughter and I enjoy the "scavenger hunt" of locating requested headstone photos.
I was born & raised in Iowa. At 19 I moved with my parents to Arizona. After that I was a "dependent spouse" and lived in Germany and Crete, Greece, having the opportunity to travel to many other places, including Egypt (talk about your ultimate burial grounds...), France, The Netherlands, Italy, and Santorini.
Relocated to Maryland (Ft. Meade, then "suburbia") for several years, then moved to rural PA in 2007, where I am much happier, as it is quite a lot like Iowa around here.

Thank you so much for the encouragement to add info to the memorial you have so kindly added...thanks and thanks again. Recently I sent obit updates that I found from 1903 newspapers and the person in charge of the memorials said she couldn't possibly retype all that info. I offered several methods to add (copy&paste), tranfer management & I'd transfer back to her, meeting at local library to offer assistance. What a frustrating experience but you made my day. Hi Wendy,
Would you be OK to transfer George and Laura Orner's memorials to me. They were my great grandparents. My grandfather was Harry Orner, their son, who is also buried in Fairview. I just realized today as I was putting in their info, that there was already a memorial there.
