I love spending time with my family and doing genealogy. (Tetreault, Deneault, Racette, Schmidt, Richard, Giroux, Dyson, Miller, Blochlinger) just to name a few.

A Cemetery is a history of people, a perpetual record of yesterday and a sanctuary of peace today.
A Cemetery exists because every life is worth loving and remembering always.

By Thelma Greene Reagan

Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where other cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.

Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.

Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.

Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.

Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.

Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.

Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

The Ancestor
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marble stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder how you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

If you would like to send me your email address I can send you Lawrence & Lillie's obits. I put on their son Neil and linked him. Also, if you would like me to transfer him to you I will.

You're welcome.
I'm impressed you located that article. I've listed in the bio.
I'm working on getting the duplicate with the incorrect name merged.

Nickerson - Mt Muncie

I wanted to let you know that I uploaded your photo requests for Earl & Bessie Nickerson. Unfortunately, Bessie did not have a marker, but her husband, Earl, and their son, Jeral, did.

I didn't see a memorial for Jeral so I went ahead and created one. I also went ahead and transferred management to you as well.

I uploaded a photo of the plot to her memorial in place of a marker.

Best Regards
Shannon B

I added the obit you furnished but deleted the names of living survivors in accordance with Find A Grave rules. I do not agree with this rule but follow it anyway.

Thank you for adding this memorial to Find A Grave, but a correction needs to be made. You have the name as Alice, it should be Agnes as stated in her obituary.

Thanks again.

It's always so sad to see a temporary metal marker that has never been replaced with a stone, even after 30-plus years.

Thanks for the information. The update has been made. I was glad to have this information, since it relates to distant relatives of my wife and her late father. Kindest regards.
