Find a Grave has been a great resource for freely sharing information among researchers. I am rather concerned that Ancestry.com will figure out a way to screw it all up like they have with RootsWeb. I would like to think that they learned their lesson from all the negative publicity they received in that earlier takeover, but they are so focused on the Almighty Dollar that it's hard to predict -- their corporate greed overwhelms both their common sense and common decency. If they begin to charge or otherwise restrict access (mandatory registration or tracking cookies) in order to view the photos and data that have been freely donated by millions of volunteers, I know that I will immediately delete any of the items that I still have control over.|
You may freely use any of the grave photos which I have taken for any legal purpose. The other items (personal photos, obits and other documents) may have copyright restrictions of which I am unaware, so use your own best judgement on those.

The Minnesota means he entered service from that state. His remains were never found. This is a memorial to the missing. His grave was never found, thus this is his grave.

No, I'm not related. Quite often I go one step further and try to locate parents or in this case, they are side by side in Belcrest, so I requested the links.

No problem. Would you like a transfer on Mr. Diehl?

Actually, Mordeci didn't have a stone either. What I posted was the "Footplate" that they placed to indicate their plot. Not sure why no one ever followed thru with stones for their graves. The only stones in the plot belonged to a Frank Rhodes and his wife. These are already on Find A Grave.

Thank you for posting the obituary for Charles Tandy. I had not seen it and it is a great addition to our family genealogy!

You're very welcome. That IS the correct spot; I had a photo of the locator stone but it is out of focus. I usually include those when there is no marker - - but it's useless. Be assured the location is right. There is a '32' and an '032,' but Ida is in neither place, and 'J' is occupied at 032. Well - - -she is there, just not so's you'd notice. Best of 2016. cb

|JC||RE: Monkey Bane|
I saw your message for the child of John and Elizabeth Bane, referred to as Monkey. There is a family tree on ancestry that shows his name as Albert Ross Bane. I don't know if the info is accurate. It is just a possible lead.
