I began searching my family tree about 38 years ago. However, I did not go very far. Only a few generations of names and possible burial sites. Now the relatives that had those answers have long since passed on. |
I rekindled the desire in 2010 when I meant the DT Questers at a meeting with Ingham Township to have them catalog the Howard Cemetery. My parents, both sets of grandparents and one set of great grandparents and a set of great-great-great grandparents are buried there. Find a Grave has been very helpful in my searches.
My desire now is to work with information on my decedents in the West, Aseltine,Every and Meredith families. I want to update their memorials. Getting more complete dates and events in their lives into the memorials. Hopefully, this will make other relatives search for their roots a little easier to follow.
My second goal is to get as much information about the Howard Cemetery as possible and post on the memorials. I have found quite a few more burials in this cemetery from my research. No records are available. My findings have been through old obituaries and burial permits.
I have been searching old area newspapers and books. I've found more information about my relatives and the people related to them. This has given me more leads to follow. While looking up these articles, I have found many others of people in the area. I have been adding them to their memorials. I hope this will help others find more information about their searches.

Yes there is a Bell Oak cemetery. It is in Locke township, same as Rowley. Don't understand why be buried in one place to wait to be moved.

Hi Connie, Randolph Wells Whipple was my 2nd great grandfather. His son, Harvey/Harmon Whipple was my great grandfather and his son, Ford was my grandfather. I am trying to find information on Randolph's father, Amos with little luck and noticed you had added Randolph's photo, etc. Are we related? I found a 2nd cousin 1x removed living in Mason, but he didn't know anything about the family. You can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org Thanks, Claudia
Did you dig up the stuff on William Parker (whose Mother was called Margaret Motherwell)?
Looking for relatives as I am following an obscure family line going back to 1842 in Donegal -sister who went to America etc etc.
I am in the UK. Basically my working theory is that they weren't called Parker - but were actually called Park.
I'm on email@example.com

Mary is my first cousin 3 times removed. I have asked Mike Beard to make changes or transfer her and several other relatives in that cemetery. So far I haven't gotten anywhere with him.

|Robbin Stokes||Hawley family|
I too have been researching the Hawley family and Silas is a sibling to my ancestor Cornelius Hawley. My branch of the family still is mainly in the same NY area although I live in Monroe, Michigan. Perhaps we can exchange information.
