ah found it
Marilla. The ones I have are Martin and Marilla. So I wondered if Marilla was her middle name and not Manerva

Wigant/Wigent
Hi

The reason I was asking about the Wigents, I was trying to connect them to the Ohio Wygants.

I see from the Hillsdale Portrait and Biographical Album that I was perusing for Bailey-Parker family info when I ran across the Frank S Wigent info and looked him up. First was Martin born 1802.

In that passage it mentioned Martin came to Michigan via Ohio from New York. The area I think where my Wygants are located. Well they aren't my Wygants but there was a Wygant that married into my family.

I have a dispute with a member about which Wygant that married my ancestor-I have the proof and they refuse to look at it or even produce their proof short of family info handed down....I just want to be sure my info (proof) is correct for my research.

Not drawing you into the matter just trying to related them to yours. Not sure why but maybe it will give me some sort of direction.

In case you don't know about the passage, it is here
http://quod.lib.umich.edu/m/micounty/BAD0929.0001.001/943?rgn=full+text;view=image;q1=wigent

And the middle name of Mary Batholomew's middle name, somewhere that day that I was perusing, I had found a Mary something similar to Manerva and I wondered if it was the same person. Course now I can't find that reference so I shall have to continue to find it.

Maybe my Parker and Bailey lines are related to your Wigants, they were all over Hillsdale county! :)

Thanks
Blue

Wigents
Hi there

I see you have a number of Wigents. Are you related?

I'm looking for info on Martin and Mary M born 1902 and 1810 respectively

Specifically Mary and her middle name. Where did the Manerva name come from?

Thanks
Blue

RE: Shaub/Schaub
In the 70's the cemeteries in Columbiana County were all read and published. In there records they show no Elizabeth Schaub listed next to the others.
Schaub:
Alice (14). Fred (13). Fred A (13). Jacob (6). Lizzie (13).
Book # after name
Shaub: , Cora (6). E (6). Henry (6). J. (6). Jacob (6). John (6)
Schaub. Jacob (6)
Schaub - stillborn (17). Velma. (17)
In book (6) it lists Cora d/o E & J, so no listing or stone for them.
I don't have the other books but library does. So I use theirs.

Palmer Cemetery
Hello Anonymous!!.. I just have a quick question regarding Palmer Cemtery on Territorial Road in Hillsdale.. I see than many of the memorials for that cemetery were created by you and I was wondering if you went off of a list or visited the cemetery yourself?? The reason I ask is that I am looking for a Peter C. Vroman that lived in the Nettle Lake area in the 1870s.. He is not buried in the Nettle Lake Cemetery so I thought since Palmer is the next nearest, that perhaps he is buried there.. So if you went off of a cemetery record list, then I wouldn't be inclinded to search Palmer looking for him (naturally assuming that you've added everyone), but if you're memorials were created by visual reference then perhaps I'd go and take a second look to see if Peter is buried there..

Any information on how you obtained the names of the folks buried in Palmer would be greatly appreciated..

Sincerely,
Sandi L.
