Dear family and friends, |
I have ancestors in Clackamas Co., OR; (Gibson, Drake, Douglass; Palmateer, Tucker, Mayfield, Closner); Wasco Co., OR, (Mayfield, Ledford, Driver, Pratt, Palmateer); Washington Co.; Multnomah Co.; Clark Co.; WA; ND and MN (Humes, Thompson); IA (Scott), other countries, Switzerland and Scotland.
My Oregon ancestors have pioneered from the Barlow and Oregon Trail. I have been collecting genealogy for years. Enjoy helping others with their family lines.
My collection of obituaries are from my family, extended families, and others who should be remembered. Also on file are obituaries from families of the family book, East Goes West, by Alta Kraft. The descendant reunion is held every year from the book, East Goes West.
When time allows I like to add family photos to my blog. Sometimes I will add interests that I find amusing. Yes, some of these photos will be of cemeteries.
Hope this note finds you well,
Craig (Tucker) Humes

I'm just wondering if you know if this Francis would have lived in Brainerd, MN in the 1930's?
I am working on a database of alumni for our school and trying to update for deaceased members. This Frank is about the right age. Possibly had a brother, Donald, about 3 years older?
Any help is appreciated. I'm not even finding this family in the 1930's census, so not sure how long they were in the area.

Thanks Craig. I've enjoyed 95% or more of the people I've encountered on Find-a-Grave, but that other 5%...sometimes I wonder. And unfortunately, there just isn't a good system in place to deal with them. Here's to hoping that gets figured out.
I also recall you made my Dad's memorial and transferred it to me once I was ready. Thanks again. I'll still be out here, but contributing in other places and other ways.

Yes, Ernest James Pulaski (Gladys HUMES's husband) was my grandfather's first cousin. I am in contact with a few descendants of Ernest's parents - John and Elisabeth MCKEOWN Pulaski. Have been working quite a few years finding the descendants of Elisabeth MCKEOWN's parents, James and Jane HIGGINS McKeown. I also research the people who married into this line. You never know who will have records, information, and pictures!

Hi Craig, I wanted to give you a great big thank you for creating, then transferring my brother's memorial to my care. I appreciate it so much.
Have a great day and Good Luck with all of your F.A.G. work,
|Sue Knost||Lura A. Stanley, memorial #77066088|
Thank you for creating the memorials for the Stanley family members buried in Forrester Cemetery, Eagle Creek, OR. Lura Stanley was my grandmother's sister, and I am trying to link Kring family members on Find-a-grave. I have submitted a photo and other information on Lura Stanley, and will also send information for other family members. I hope you will accept the information. I will accept management of the Stanley memorials if you would like to transfer them to me.
