Your tombstone stands among the rest,
neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
on polished marble stone.
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist.
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you,
in flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse,
entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled,
so many years ago,
Spreads out among the ones you left,
who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew,
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.
AUTHOR- Walter Butler Palmer (1868-1932)
I am happy to honor transfer requests unless it is my family member.
I love walking the cemeteries and fulfilling photo requests. Please feel free to use any photo I've added in your personal family tree. I respectfully request, however, that photos not be posted to for-profit sites.
I'm also happy to provide additional research in the St. Joseph County, Michigan area.

Could you approve updates submitted. If you would, could you transfer Robert's memorial to me. Robert is a cousin of my grandfather William John Henry Hammer. I've been entering as many Hammer relatives as I can find. Robert's mother was Magdalena Hammer Diesness. I've entered Robert's grandparents, parents, and sibling memorials. Thanks Gary Gyssler #48833712

I added the obituary information you send for Hugh's memorial - finally. I've been busy lately and then had problems with my computer's satellite reception.
Enjoy the weekend even if it's hot today. Tomorrow promises to be better.

Thanks so much Anne. I am making an ancestry book for the Large family and this is a great addition.
Coincidently, Samuel and Helen's son's wife Rosabelle Large is being buried this week in Oak Lawn. I appreciate your time and effort. Have a good week.

I searched the cemetery for Andrew Meadows. I could not find a marker for him, however there are several other Meadows buried there...
