I'm doing my best to connect family links (parents and children) to my kin (direct and collateral) and really appreciate all who have kindly added the connections for me. It opens up a world to many. I'm glad to add yours also. My family in VA, PA and MD were there so early, they're kind of connected to everyone there. That's why I feel a responsibility to connect and record data when I come across it.
If you're interested in the symbols found on gravestones, check out two good sites at http://iagenweb.org/ringgold/cemeteries/gravestonesymbols.html and http://www.graveaddiction.com/symbol.html Neat informative sites. Are you a taphophile or tombstone tourist?
A professional grave cleaning solutions recommended often is called Wet and Forget. I understand it's had wonderful results, as seen in some gravestone photos. It's a slow acting cleaner that improves with time and weather. Sometimes repeat sprayings are necessary but wow, the results I've seen are impressive. Shaving cream is very destructive I am told.
I welcome all additions, connections, corrections or changes and am open to transfers so please feel free to contact me on the specific site.

RE: Wm Blair, 32436814 I obtained the information that William Blair (1741-1815) was buried in the Glebe Cemetery several years ago from Betty Champion, a Blair researcher in Portsmouth VA. She had lots of good information on the Blair family. I asked for a picture of the grave and was informed that no grave could be found. I know that sometimes the graves are not marked or recorded. I have several such cases in my family. Since she had so much good information that checked out, I have taken her word. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
RE: Brogans at Stonewall Jackson Mem Cem Yes, I would love to. I am kin to all the Brogans in Stone wall Jackson Cemetery. Just started getting into various family trees of mine and my husband's. Thank you very much.
RE: Re: Ira Kerr Ha ha, I probably did just that. I was starting to think one of us was... well, you know. I'm fine, going to be freezing temps tonight, so one day we have flowers and the next they are brown nothings.
