I'm originally from Westfield, NJ, went to Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY, married a sailor and was transplanted here in Va Beach. I've done genealogy for my family since 2006. My side includes Stec, Novak, Ciechoski, Maciorowski, Gasiorowski, Golda of NJ and PA. My husband's side is King, Hill, McDougal, Ellis, Mitchell, Bangs, Cross of MO and AR. I've traced him back to the Sutton's of Plymouth Colony & Brodnax's of Jamestown, VA. I hope my kids will be interested in this info when they're older!
I am Mommy to Nathaniel, 6, and Tristan, 3 and stepmom to Josh, 16 and Faith, 13. This site helps use years of cemetery photos I've taken. Hopefully it will have meaning to others! I am intrigued especially by military markers because of my husband's career, and by those of children and young people whose lives were taken too soon.
If you want me to remove a memorial, please send me a polite message. I've gotten vulgar emails that aren't called for, but the thankful ones always outweigh them.
I am currently studying at TCC to become a funeral director and work at a local funeral home. Follow me here: http://www.instagram.com/funerallison
RE: Stec Transferred both before I saw the Edit request for John. In the future please make it easier for transferors by using the Edit and Suggest a Correction functions to request a transfer. That way we don't have to go searching for the memorials or for your member number. It really is a help. Take care.
First, thank you for your excellent work on FindAGrave.
Would you be willing to transfer memorials 59733372 and 59733327 to me? Isaac Owen Hill was my second great uncle, and I have plenty of valid information about I.O. and his family. I could make a few family connections on FindAGrave. I visited the Hill crypt at Cedar Hill 10 days ago. Thank you. Ron Hill
RE: Smith photo fulfillment problems Thank you for the Smith information/location. I had attempted to get the information on two of my previous visits there, but had no success. With the limited information that I had (from Find A Grave) and the number of "Smiths" buried at Woodlawn, I fully understand why it was more difficult to find. I truly appreciate your assistance. Everyone at Woodlawn has always been helpful and gone out of their way to accommodate my location requests. They have even provided me with maps each time that I have visited there (fulfilling FAQ photo requests).
