Raised in Dillon, SC and attended school there. Entered Clemson University and graduated in 1962 with a B.S. Degreee in Forestry. Entered the Air Force after graduation and attended many Navigator Schools and ultimately was certified in B-52's. Had a couple of tours during the Vietnam War. After 7 years, entered the civilian life and worked in Personnel in a Primary Paper Mill. After a few years I transferred to the packaging side of the industry and finally retired as the National Accounts Sales Manager, Southeast, for Packaging Corp of America.
I married Peggy M. Kelley from Pendleton, SC, whom I met while attending Clemson. We have been married for 50 years and have one son, Eric.
I have been researching our extended family for 25 years (2013) and have published one book (606 pages) The Descendants of John "Merchant" Cameron. I am close to finishing my second book on the Cameron Family (my mother's side).

You filled several photo requests for me a few months ago and I have been belated in acknowledging it. Thank you so much for taking the time - I truly appreciate all that you do!

McNeil--Mt. Pisgah
I got your pictures to day. Will download them shortly. Or is it upload? Anyway I met an older man from the Church in the cemetery. He showed me all the McNeil's and Thomas' that were related (brother, sister, children, parents) of the ones you requested. I took those photos also. Will try to load them tonight or Sunday.

Beck Transfer
Hi Steve,
I am sorry but apparently, I don't have it anymore. When I signed on this evening I discovered that 11 Memorials had been removed. No one had requested a transfer so I am puzzled.

I regret this but I guess you will need to find out who took it and have them transfer it to you.

Again, I am really sorry about this but don't let that stop you from asking for my help with anything else. I will be happy to do whatever I can. Email me directly. My email should show up on my page.

God Bless

RE: G. Wayne Beck photo
Hi Steve,
This will be my first transfer. I am going to do it right now so if it doesn't work, let me know. Otherwise, I pray the best for you.

I am glad you were able to fix the photo. My photo editing tools are minor league at best but I usually get it to work.

God Bless,

Hi Steve,
Thank you for your kind words of appreciation.

That stone was one of the more unfortunate ones that are barely readable. I had to do some serious editing hijinks to get it to come out. If you want, I will send you the original. Maybe you can get a professional to bring it out better for the book.

Also, please let me know if you want this transferred to you. I am here to help loved ones not to build numbers for myself so I am happy to relinquish any memorial to a family member.

I pray you have great success with your book.

God Bless

RE: Cameron Johnson Photo
Steve, The name Cameron is about 60% of the markers at the Cypress Cemetery and is a couple of miles from the city of Cameron. I find Cameron names were every I go. You have a big task. I took 70 photos of Johnson's and have added their photos to find a grave. I have several Johnsons that were not listed so I plan to add them with their marker photo over the next few days. Their were alot of missing and damaged stone markers. The address was not correct on your request, the church Cemetery is located at 1220 Cypress not 2012. Thank you for letting me know the photo's were ok. Bill Cody
