Hello I am from Monroe County, Mississippi and am currently in charge of the care taking of the Conwill/Old Mound, Union Grove and Hester Cemeteries which are located in the Cason Community. The Memorial/Decoration Day is held at the Cason Baptist Church on the 3rd Sunday in August.
If I can be of any help with information in this area, please feel free to call on me. I will be glad to transfer anyone as long as they are not in my family line. Thanks so much. Peggy
Welch / Welsh name at Pisgah Cemetery Hello from Marshall Co. AL. Did not know if you were connected to this family or not. I am in search for a Mary Elizabeth Welsh / Welch. I believe Walter Welch would be her son and Max her grandson. She was living with them in the 1930 census and died prior to 1940. Mary's husband has Robert Welsh on his stone, and is buried in Atkins cemetery. I was not sure how her name would be spelt. Date of birth according to an old bible was Dec 29, 1847. She was the oldest of 7 children, and had 3 more step sisters. She is not a direct family member but would be a sister to my husband's x2 great grandfather. Any information to her date of death and burial would be appreciated. FYI.... Thanks for all your help with find a grave. It does help those who live far away with their family research.
