Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been retired since May of 2001, spending a lot of my time on my Zahn Family Tree. I know the importance of names and dates... and the US Federal Census. I like helping others and this is a great way to do so.

If there is anyone in need and I can help, I will if I can. I also love to correspond.

My Family tree is very large. Our Zahns settled in Westminster, Maryland and we are many. Some moved west and I have met some of my Iowa cousins, some of my Virginia Cousins and some of my Maryland Cousins. Cousins Gary Zahn and George Thacker are very helpful and in return, I help them, as well as information swapped between many distant cousins.
I am also looking into the John Douglas Family from Douglas, Georgia and the Stephens' Twins who migrated from NC to Ramer, AL and then most went south to Myakka Florida during or right after the Civil War.

I look forward to adding to the Findagrave database.

I now live in Maryville, TN. Names of interest include:
Zahn, Hayden (in Virginia), Convers/e (any, leading back to Deacon Edward Convers of Woburn, Mass), Ringwood, NY (Cork County Ireland), Yingling, Rice, Holmes of Charleston, SC...and more.....

Thanks Claire for all your hard work on The Converse family and collateral branches. I do have access to Vital and Census records, which I use constantly as I create memorials here. One of these days I will get back to working on my own ancestors!

Richard Rodney
Rosa May Zahn/ Wm H O Yingling
Hello Ms. Zahn:

My name is Richard Rodney (Rick). I am the Great-Grandson of Rosa May Zahn, wife of William Henry Orndorff Yingling. Rosa's daughter, Helen May Yingling, was my "Nanny" Lentz. Helen's daughter, Jean Audrey Lentz was my mother. You have kindly posted a picture of the resting place of my grandparents and parents in Baltimore National Cemetery. (My father, George Walter Rodney is buried in the same plot.) I do have some pictures of Rosa May and William with their daughter(my grandmom)Helen. If you would like them (as I am sure you would) please send me an email at rickrodney@yahoo.com.

I do not know what relationship you have with Rosa, but as you are posting closely related pics I suspect you might be interested in this tidbit: Rosa and William bought a house at 212 S. Conkling Street in Highlandtown. That house is STILL in the family. My sister Peggy Jean Blasetti lives there. It has been passed from mother to daughter for over a century! Rosa passed it to her daughter, Helen. She passed it to my mother, who passed it to my sister in turn. So four generations have lived there but the names were all different because the ladies inherited. Peggy has a son Louis and a daughter, Anastasia (Stacey). Who knows, another generation may reside in the house.

Thank you again for posting this picture. I look forward to hearing from you!

Rick Rodney

Hi Claire,
Can you please post your obit from #80213098, to #5823936 (being the older). You have photo's posted on both. #80213098 needs to be deleted due to duplication.

Thanks,
Audrey Allison

RE: Rhoda Chambers
I'm reluctant to create a memorial for John William Chambers, when I don't know for sure where he is buried. I'm researched but cannot find anything showing where he is actually buried. So for now, I'll just keep researching. Thanks for your help.
