Memorial# 44877744 Joseph Gillespie Moore
I am hoping that you will consider deleting a photograph of a Bronze CSA Marker that you posted for the individual named, above.

There are three reasons for this request.

First, the information on the CSA Marker is incorrect for Joseph Gillespie Moore (1842-1879). While some of the info may apply to a different Joseph Moore who served and died in 1862, there was never a CO. Y. The subject Joseph Gillespie Moore did serve in an entirely different capacity in another state. His memorial has been updated by bioengineer with his correct service.

Second, if you are willing to delete the Bronze CSA Marker photo, bioengineer will be able to remove his extensive Note from the memorial which explains this marker error. Simply put, the Note adds nothing to the memory and life of Joseph Gillespie Moore and leaves the reader thinking more about the error and how it happened instead of thinking about Joseph Gillespie Moore.

Third, Joseph Gillespie Moore is my family. He died young and left no descendants. His father is my gr gr gr grandfather, Cornelius Moore also buried in the cemetery. His sister, Carolina Moore née Watkins, is buried in the Woodland Cemetery in nearby Rosebud, Texas. She is my gr gr grandmother and she raised my grandfather, Martin Watkins Anding who was her grandson and is also buried in Powers Chapel Cemetery.

Of possible interest, I have a recent photo of Joseph Gillespie Moore's large headstone which I will upload. I also plan to remove the incorrect CSA Bronze Plaque from its base and order a new Bronze Plaque with the correct information provided by bioengineer. I am able to take these steps since I am an officer and have served as the Historian for the Powers Chapel Cemetery Association (a non-profit corporation) for the better part of two years. I will soon publish a book for the association, The Powers Chapel Community. If you have any connections your contributions to book are welcomed.

Your consideration of this request is very much appreciated. If I can help you with any needs with cemeteries in Falls County west of the Brazos please don't hesitate to contact me.

RE: Rhodes Family
I'm sure that there is some connection within the family, but they are not brothers. My line did not leave very man tracks. Would enjoyed seeing what information you have found.

Best regards,

Parrish family of Florida
My husband's family is mentioned in the "Encyclopedia of Biography" page that you posted on John Parrish memorial #32962160. I see that you also sponsor that page. Could you tell me the full title of the book you got those images from? I would like to look it up. My father-in-law is Harlan Estes Parrish, mentioned at the bottom of page 74.
Thanks so much! And is this your family or your husbands?
