Bio and Links
Bio Photo I served in the Army and Army Reserve for over 25 years with more than 15 years in the public affairs arena.
My experience runs the gamut from working at the U.S. Army Field Station at Camp Humphreys, Korea to running the day-to-day operations of the Press Camp Headquarters at Fort Shafter, Hawaii.
Various positions have included work as a newspaper editor, educational publications, community and media relations, as well as marketing.
For the past three years I have been dedicating time to primarily adding records for my extended family, friends and veterans' and local cemeteries.
Additionally, in late 2012 I completed my application and was accepted into the Daughters of 1812, my first lineage society.

Thanks for transferring this memorial. She was my grandfather's sister.

I am loving this new link feature - really makes it so much easier to connect family members.

Hope all is well with you. Alma S

RE: Auguste O'Day/John O'Day
I dont think she has a stone, but she might be on back of Johns and I missed her. Plans are to go back and get anything missed when I get done. Getting there slowly. Right now I have about 9000 pics to post, that should keep me busy over the winter! Ken

RE: Virtual cemeteries
Luckily no. I had 3 VA Appts 9, 10, & 11 then it pored down rain so I was going to leave it for another day. Rain is in the forecast for the next 2 days. Just let me know what I can do.

The trip was outstanding! But San Diego had a heat wave and Kansas City was having a cool front. Most exciting for me was the Reagan Presidential Library.

Take care and have a great weekend.

RE: Virtual cemeteries
Hello! G and H look pretty good to me. Only 17 MIA on first run through is pretty good. I think the rest will show up. I was taking pictures in F today and I saw a G stone in there, go figure. When I finish taking all pics and get them listed I plan to compile a list of all memorials with no photos and try to find them. Hopefully that will only be a few hundred. That might be a nice time for you to come to KC and we can have a fun day in the hot Kansas sun finishing this. Thanks again for all you edits and keeping everything correct!! Ken

RE: Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery
Thanks for your kind words, Mary Ann. I'm not sure my health will let me walk around enough to be of help at Leavenworth.

One section that was never uploaded from the VA seems to be Section B. I found a large number at the front of that section that were moved from New Mexico Territory in the 1860s-1880s. There is info to add to those memorials at the Nationwide Gravesite Locator, and I've also found some records from that post online.

There were also a number near friends of mine, also Viet Nam era, that weren't uploaded.

If I feel able to get there eventually, I'll check your virtuals first. Thanks so very much for doing this.

Best wishes, Suzanne

Mary Ann,
Yes, I would love to help you. Right now I'm not able; will be having some minor surgery on the 14th but, hopefully, I'll be able to help after that. I'll let you know.
