I have been researching my family off and on for the last 40 years. I am researching the following names and names associated with them: Brandon, Cotton, Hankins, Goodpaster, Dines, Palmer, Murray, Fagg, Farrer, Lish, Espat, Rathe, Swearingen, Van Swearingen, and Washer.|
This is a wonderful tool for those of us that are into genealogy and it is nice to get the surprise of finding a lost relative here. But, it is also frustrating when we want to enter data and link family members but we can't because someone else put the data out there. So if you find that I have entered any of your relatives (and not my relatives) and you would like to enter data for them yourself I will be happy to transfer the entry to you.

Hello, I have just recently come from this area and noticed your photo. I believe that this is the Hopewell Baptist Church that is photographed here. The cemetery photo is correct, but the church photo may not be. I have two photos of Bethlehem which includes the cornerstone at the church and my cemetery photo corresponds with the Tiebo's Team photo posted here. Would you mind checking before I post the other photo? I could not find the cornerstone on the Hopewell Church, but if you go to that website, the church there matches your photo and Mr. David Oswalt posted the cornerstone. I thank you for your patience and help.

Thanks for the memorial numbers and I will handle the situation with the duplicate made by John.
According to the guidelines, you should notify the member of the duplicate, keep a copy of the SAC, and in 30 days, if the duplicate isn't deleted, you forward your SAC to Edit@findagrave.com so that they will delete it or merge it with the original.
I do lineage applications for others and sometimes search a surname on Find A Grave in a state or county trying to find information. I pull up the entire index (not just one cemetery) to look at the one surname and it is very easy to spot a duplicate as they are next to each other on the index listing with the same dates and cemetery.
I am sure that I just sent the SAC to you in error and so sorry for confused. Thank you for all you have done for Find A Grave. I am sincerely sorry that this happened. Have a good day.

Linda, Thank you for your comment regarding two Alice Henry Barnes entries. If you will note that the entry I added was in July of 2006. Therefore the duplicate is of my entry and was added in March of 2009 by John Smolarek. Thank you for your interest. I, personally, try very hard not to add duplicates.
I can't find the memorial without the number as there are nearly 500 Alice Barnes on Find A Grave. I would like to see what I did...please send me the memorial number so I can find it easily.
Are you saying John made the duplicate in 2009 and I sent Duplicated Memorial SAC to the wrong member? If so, did you notify John of his duplicate or do I need to do that?

Do you know anything more on this lady? Buried at Pikeville..Marion Co, AL.
|K Perry||Mary E Joyce 1842|
Hi Linda--Mary E Joyce's name was changed to Mary E Hester Brooks on her findagrave page. She is on the tombstone with Andrew J Joyce, her first huaband. She is Mary Esther Joyce. I know that alot of people say her maiden name is Mary Esther Brooks, but her daughter Mary Atlanta Joyce Miller's obituary calls her Mary Esther LAWRENCE.
Can you please change her name back to Mary E Joyce on the findagrave page ?
that is her married name. She deserves to at least be on the stone as being married to Andrew J Joyce, as she had her children with him. This is my husband's gg grandmother, and the mother of Mary Atlanta Joyce born 1872 who married James Dalmazzo Miller.
