I am into the genealogy of the Winkle Family. I do not know much about the history. Part of the Winkle family is German and part is from England or Wales. My wife is a Winkle.
I believe that the my wife's line came into this country through Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Some of the family went to Virginia through Tennessee and Kentucky and then into Missouri. Some of the family went through Ohio and Illinois to Missouri.
