Listen more often to things than to beings
‘Tis the ancestor's breath when the fire's voice is heard
‘Tis the ancestor's breath in the voice of the waters.
Those who have died have never, never left
The dead are not under the earth
They are in the rustling trees
They are in the groaning woods
They are in the crying grass,
They are in the moaning rocks
The dead are not under the earth.
lyrics adapted from the poem by Birago Diop, music by Ysaye M. Barnwell

You are welcome. I had dropped my camera and did not realize the flash had quit. This stone is in a wooded area with little spots of sunlight pokig through. I will try to get you a clearer photo the next time I go over there.
|Becky Doan||RE: Alfred Fairfax|
I think the other person didn't know the cemetery, but I sent her the info. Sometimes I search for the person first as well as searching in the cemetery. Thanks! Becky

Joyce, I have transferred this listing to you. I maintain many of these because the original member that created the pages for many of the people in Parkway and Osborne is no longer a Find a Grave contributor. If there are any others that I maintain you are interested in, please contact me.
Best regards :)

Unfortunately, Ora Smith is in an unmarked grave. I posted a photo of the spot. Sorry the news wasn't better.

Thank you Joyce for photographing my relative John H Lynn in Oswego Cemetery. I noticed that there is a very large Lynn stone and 2 long plots behind it.
I have a large number of Lynn relatives in this cemetery. Could you please tell me what it says on the other side?
that would be great! thanks
