I have always been drawn to cemeteries. There is a quiet to them and a history that reaches out to me. I often just go out and take pictures in them trying to preserve before man or time ruins what is left of a person's time in life. |
My Grandmother (one of 14 told) me that a person's life savings went into a marker. To mark their time on Earth, to let the world know they had been there. Yet there are so many that will with no care tear them down and destroy them, I feel taking their pictures before they are completely gone is the next best step to showing they were here. Being a photographer has mixed two of my passions when it comes to preserving the past.
I have been doing genealogy since I was 8. I do not take the first hint or clue as gospel I keep looking and digging till I have the full truth. If I did it any other way I would be related to all the wrong people from a lack of laziness and an inability to research the records left behind.
I have been able to photography in four cemeteries in Georgia that hold my families. My next goal would be to go to N.C. , S.C., Pa., Va. and get where my first ancestors came into this country graves.
My family lines include Harden, Wills, Fox, Hall, Harper, Hasty,Hill, ELDRIDGE, Ronaldson, McArthur, Graddick/Gradick/Gredig, Middlebrooks, Pentecost, Raiford, Barnes, Pound, Bailey, Moseley, Stroud, Hunter, Spottiswoode, Walker.

|AZEXPLORER||RE: Please accept my edits.|
I am not sure what it was about my message to you that would result in igniting such a visceral response from you. But, your response was over the top and unnecessary. Either do the edits or don't, but please review them and accept or decline them in a timely manner, and refrain from attacking me.
My message to you was polite and straight forward. You decided to take offense to it for some reason.
The last correspondence on your message board was more than three months ago. You have had no other activity for 90 days. What do you expect someone to think? If you had activity within the last THREE MONTHS, I would have felt more confident that you were active and would have waited an entire MONTH before writing to you. But no activity in three months, combined with almost two weeks of no response, starts to look like the person has fallen inactive, for WHATEVER REASON.
Many members - even members who have been a member for YEARS and YEARS - still do not know how to check for edits that were sent to them. So, it starts to look like they are inactive when edits go unattended to. I thought perhaps that was the situation in your case.
Therefore, I included those instructions in my message to you as a courtesy.
Unfortunately, we are not notified when a new edit is sent to us. The edit just sits there. We have to manually check our edits. Each of us should do that at least weekly or every other week. That is part of our responsibility for managing memorials - don't you think?
I am not sure what your comment was about obits. Did I ask you to insert an obit? I think I only asked you to simply link the PARENTS so that this person would be reunited with their family. That is a simple "click-click" to accept such an edit after you are satisfied it is not some false information being maliciously provided to you to mess up your memorials.
May peace find you well and happy.
|AZEXPLORER||Please accept my edits.|
I am reviewing edit requests that I sent that have not been accepted yet.
I sent you an edit for a few memorials on January 26 and you have not responded to them.
Are you active on Find A Grave anymore? It looks like you are inactive.
Please accept my edits.
To review edits that have been sent to you for memorials you manage, go to your profile page, then in the upper right-hand corner you will see three tabs. Click on the 'Edits' tab. Then you can review and accept my edits.

You don't know how much that would mean to me.
I truly appreciate the transfer of Bob's Memorial, you are a true blessing to us looking for family.
|precious memories||Morris W Cash and Nancy Jane Young Cash|
Dear Wren, Thank you so much for the transfer of Morris and Nancy. I would like to manage the rest of the Cash family in Union Cemetery that you have created if possible. They are all Morris and Nancy's descendants. I noticed that in your profile you mention the family of Moseley, I am a descendant of William Mosley (1620) England and Martha Brasseur (1638). Just wondering if you were too. May God bless you and keep you safe in your journey of helping people find their loved ones. Jill
|Ghostdigger2||William Terrence Wills|
Wren, Update made and William was added to his parents. I did go one step further and transfered him to you for your care of his memorial. I see you have added pictures of his siblings to their memorials and hopefully you have one of William. Good luck in your research and God Bless! Barb
