I live in middle Ga. and enjoy spending time searching for those out of the way gravesites and researching in general. At times I will post information as well as pictures. There are some gravesite locations that I had to "scratch and claw" to find and the clean up was back breaking. And I'm sure like many other folks I've spent many hours walking, searching and taking pics.

Alexander Stephens will?
I see that you maintain the memorial for Alexander Stephens (Find A Grave #96153572). Looked a the book you mentioned that has a line about the will. Have you seen the will? Or do you know where the original might be kept (part of Alexander Hamilton Stephen's papers)? Alexander is my 6th g-grandfather.

Thanks.

Alexander Stephens
Ok, will dated Nov 1813 suggests that, being alive when it was written, he died in Mar 1814. I missed the Nov part when I read it the first time. I agree with your conclusion now. Thanks- John

Alexander Stephens
Your conclusion about the death date of Alexander Stephens seems counterintuitive. Should it be 1813?

RE: Lizzie Vinson
I was actually surprised I found her using fasmilysearch.org, I put in a photo request but if not filled in a couple days I'll go get it, I live an hour and 1/2 away from Taylor Co FL. I haven't had much luck with obits in Florida though. Shady Grove is a rinky dink tiny town but maybe they winded up there because of the railroad???? Cat
