Bio Photo OK PUNKY, HEADS-UP!

Pay attention to the following:

a. The source used for my listings came from County Genweb sites.

b. I am a volunteer and do NOT know personally any family history.

c. Use the EDIT BUTTON for ALL REQUESTS.

d. Please tell others "please and thank" you as they are volunteers.

As for my bio you ask! Well, just let me say that I am one handsome fellow, mature beyond my years, humble, humorous, witty, pleasant, and a joy to be around. (My wife disagrees.)

My figures speak for themselves. I have been a busy volunteer these past four years. I have taken pictures for 330 requests. I have listed over 52,000 memorials. All of this has built my reputation as "the cemetery guy."

About half of the people I took pictures for failed to offer a "PLEASE and/or a THANK YOU." I like to think of them as the knuckle draggers. The other half showed praise and appreciation. I call them my friends, pals, and buddies.

I am a retired road bump supervisor for the county. Daily I checked for over 30 years that the road bumps were in good order, working properly, and clearly identified. I was an entry in the World Road Bump Contest that was held in Bulgaria in 2003. I came in second to a woman from Serbia. (Boy, did she have road bumps.)

The next time you drive over a road bump, think of me. If they are produced just right, you hit your head on the roof of the car. Anything less is a design problem caused by a drowsy engineer.

When I retired the county installed a road bump in my driveway in order to slow the wife down when she comes home from shopping. It works great and I have not had to repair the garage since installation. I placed an official sign half way down the street that says "Wife Road Bump Ahead."

You know, cemeteries kind of remind me of road bumps in a way. The Mrs. says FAG is Facebook for the Dead. I agree!

May your life be smooth and not too bumpy. God Bless!

I created this memorial three years ago, and it says she was born in 1921. Yes, she could still be alive at 94, however before I delete something I check to see if she has in fact died. And BTW, memorials with DOB prior to 1931 are allowed.

As for the dupes I mentioned in my message below, I guess I will now have to contact each person and tell them they have a dupe of my memorial, which is what should have done in the first place.

I hope you are having fun dissecting all of my memorials.

Other SACS
I have absolutely no problem with folks letting me know if some of my memorials are dupes and I will remove them. FYI, I have had several spreadsheets loaded that did not catch any dupes.

Also, I would appreciate not receiving SACS telling me my memorials are dupes when they were the first memorial created. Please send those SACS to the person who created the duplicate memorial.

Your SAC
I do not have a previous SAC from you for Mary Gerber - the only one I have is for Arthur. Please provide the date of SAC and information you requested for Mary.

So, if you want something updated for Mary and for some reason it has not been done, perhaps you should send me the information a second time in the event I did not receive your first SAC.

If you don't agree, feel free to take it up with an admin because I will be more than glad to discuss this with them, including your most recent SAC which didn't include any actual edit information, just an uncalled for comment.

Ooops! Larry, I have no idea how this one got transferred to me. I don't know who this is. I have lots of Coates' in my tree but none fit into these dates. If I were anywhere near Fair Haven, MN, I would go look, but such is not the case. Sorry
Keep up the good work! ;^)

RE: DEATH DATE
HI HARVEY,
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR CHECKING ON THIS DATE FOR ME. I SURE HOPE YOU DID NOT DRIVE VERY FAR.
SO NOW WITH THE DEATH DATE OF 5 MAY 1849, AND AGED 4 MO 12 DY 26 YRS, THAT WORKS BACK TO A BIRTH DATE OF 23 DEC 1822.
THIS DATE SEEMS TO FIT. NOW I WILL CONTINUE SEARCHING TO VERIFY THIS DATE FURTHER.
THANK YOU AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK, THAT BENEFITS SO MANY OF US ALL AROUND THE WORLD.
I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW MUCH I HAVE SPENT TRAVELING DURING THE SUMMERS TO THE DIFFERENT TOWNS BACK EAST TO SEARCH RECORDS AND WALK CEMETERIES FOR PHOTOS, SINCE 1989. AND NOW I CAN SIT HERE AND COPY THE HEADSTONES FROM FIND A GRAVE AND NOT WORRY ABOUT SINKING INTO AN OLD GRAVE SITE.
IN NY I WAS IN A VERY OLD CEMETERY AND A FAMILY OF SKUNKS WENT UNDERGROUND RIGHT IN FRONT OF A HEADSTONE. HOME MUST BE IN AN OLD WOODEN COFFIN. SO IF YOU SEE ANY SMALL HOLES, BE CAREFUL OF WHAT MIGHT GREAT YOU. LOL
GOD BLESS YOU FOR ALL YOUR GOOD WORK.

Dillman headstone
Larry,
Thank you so much for the picture of Solon and Ethel's headstone! I thought they only had foot stones. I appreciate it, and all you do volunteering for Find A Grave.
