|Baxter B. Fite III||Pvt. Madison C. Corbin and William Austin Corbin|
Dear Dallas, I hope that this little email finds you well. I want to Thank You again for adding the photograph of Private Madison C. Corbin to his Find A Grave site. Is it possible that you have copies of any others of him, perhaps younger pictures that you could add as well? Have you ever heard of any of him in uniform from his days in the service?
I recently add quite a bit of information to his son's, William Austin Corbin, site. Is it possible that you would have any pictures of William that you could add to his site? Also, I have located the burial site of six of eight of William's children. Can you tell me if the Vern or Vernon in Fort Smith, Arkansas that I read about in the obituaries is Orville Corbin? Laurence/Lawrence Corbin lived in Bourbonnais and later was in Orlando, Flordia according to the obits. Can you tell me when Orville and Laurence died and where they are buried?
Is it possible that you would have pictures of William's children that you could add to their sites?
Looking forward to hearing from you again. Thanks for all you have done. Baxter

I have linked up Marian McColley Ring Find A Grave Memorial# 134644377 to her parents Nathaniel & Frances-- in case you are interested in that family still. I came across her in a Blue Earth cemetery that I was photographing.
|Baxter B. Fite III||Private Madison Colonel Corbin, Co. G, 86th Illinois|
Dallas, What a wonderful picture you have added of Madison to his site. I can't Thank You enough for it. I saw the picture that you have of Madison and Margaret with their five sons and two of their daughters. Would you consider adding this one to Madison's site as well along with the same caption identifying everyone? That is a wonderful picture as well.
Is it possible that you have seen any young pictures of Madison? I have been at this task of locating the final resting place of the 992 men who served in the 86th Illinois since 1985 and continue to be amazed that with the help of so many, I have located about 905 of their burial sites. During this time, I have been fortunate to have found pictures of about 300 or so, but, know there are so many more out there of the veterans of the 86th. I was thrilled to see the picture of Madison and look forward to seeing others, but, I can't help but think that somewhere out there, there are even pictures of him taken in Nashville, Tennessee in the spring or summer of 1862 in uniform. I believe now that most of the guys who made it to Nashville took the time to sit for portraits to swap with their friends and to send home to mom and dad and the siblings back home. I hope you either have or can locate the ones of Madison. Thanks for all you have done and I am looking forward to your help on Madison's biography and those of his children. Take care, Baxter

I wish I could help. All I have is her son's marriage to a Brainerd, which is my main research focus. I have not determined her parents. I try to include spouse's parents in my tree.

Only connection to Doty is on Find a Grave--my information came from Wabaunsee Co Cemetary records and that is all I have, they are no relation to my family that I know of. Good Luck Marie

I'm not related JUST a local genealogist. We have a "Early City West Families -- Bigelow, Brown, Hamilton, Rice & Prahlow" genealogy if you want me to do look-ups. This is a family history that I put together. What were Angeline Moorehouse's parents?

|James Shannon||Alexander McColley|
My name is James Shannon, I was born in Winnebago, Minnesota. Alexander and Polly Razey McColley were my 2nd great grandfather and grandmother.
My question is, family records say that Alexander died near Lisbon, Wisconsin and was buried along side of the road. Find A Grave has a Memorial# 40906276 for him at Rice Lake cemetery that I believe you own. Do you know if the body was brought back from Wisconsin and re-buried at Rice Lake or if there is just a stone for him at Rice Lake.
I will be in Southern Minnesota for the summer and this is one of the places I plan on visiting.
