William & Mary Senescall
Thanks for the additional info on William & Mary. They are my husband's Great Great Grandparents. It's always nice to get additional info about them. The Immigration date for William is different than mine. I got it from the 1900 US Census. I know that dates do differ quite often. Also you mentioned the Mary's birth date was 1851, that's the date that they were married. If you happen to find out who William's parents were would you please let me know. Steward death records say his mother was Elizabeth Spaulding, but I find nothing about his father. I am also on Ancestry and there are so many Senescall's from England it get confusing. Thanks again. Thank You. I'm making an effort to have the VA place headstones on the graves of (Now 18) the unmarked or poorly marked graves of our veterans within Snohomish County.

You and I seem to have a lot of similarities. Birthday 7/21/1948. USMC 11/1/1967 to 9/25/1969. Ran the mile in high school at 4:37.
Nice to make your acquaintance. LOL

RE: theodore lemire
hi Martin. Up until the middle of the 19th century most individuals in Quebec had, by law, a dit name associated with their family name. Dit is French for "said". It was a way of differentiating individuals with the same family name (and often the same first name as well). By the middle of the 19th century the practice was abandoned and individuals chose which of the two family names to use. Church and notarial records however sometimes still used both family names, or sometimes one or the other, and not in a standard way until about the start of the 20th century. The family name that his father used appears to be Lemire, although, sometimes, in records to it will appear as Lemire dit Foucault, and sometimes as Foucault. His mother appears to have used Richard as her maiden/family (and legal name in Quebec even after her marriage) although it sometimes is noted as Richard dit Arnaud. His parents were married on Feb 10, 1834 in Nicolet, QC (St-Jean-Baptiste parish)

RE: theodore lemire
I don't think that his parents have find a grave numbers. I am not sure if I had noted his father's name correctly or not. It should be Joseph-Alexis Lemire (dit Foucault). I don't know when or where he died although I believe that it is probably somewhere in Minnesota around the 1870s-80s.

I think the Patrick & Margaret (McCarthy) Sullivan are related to me. They would be my 3 x Great grandfather and mother. Info

Patrick Sullivan
b. 26 October 1809 Killarney, Kerry, Ireland
d. 10 December 1876 Belvidere, Boone, Illinois
&
Margaret McCarthy (Sullivan)
b. 1819 Ireland
d. 5 November 1902 Harvard, McHenry, Illinois
m. 24 September 1842 Ireland

through their daughter Honora Sullivan (Keliher), her daughter Helen Keliher (Hankins), her son John, his son Mervin, to me. Thanks for posting the extra info and going the extra mile so to speak, any pics, would be great of their gravestones.

Murch
Wow. I just found your http://genealogytrails.com/ill/boone/belvcem/cem_belvidere16.html and alot of my Murch family. I am impressed and excited with this site. How do I get a correction here for a child of Martin Murch and Polly Murch? She is Lucinda Austin findagrave #59297204. She did have a son Lorenzo Austin #30098533. She should be the Austin listed as child of Martin and Polly, not Lorenzo

Polly Murch
Thanks so much for finding Polly and her son Levi for me. Is their any way to ck her death date? Her Son, George Washington Murch's findagrave # 143517766 has a long write up and says she and her husband Martin came to live with him in 1861 and remained there several years until their death.

Polly Murch
Hello! I see you created the memorial #117379660
for Martin Murch. I am trying to find the grave of his wife, Polly. I know she died after 1861 and was living with her husband and son, George Washington Murch #143517766 in Belvidere, Illinois at the time of her death. Any help would be appreciated.
