Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in Los Angeles but lived most of my life in San Francisco. I will always remember those who influenced my life... but especially my dear friends who live on in spirit. I want to make sure they will never be forgotten or their lives taken for granted.

I am a proud direct descendant of William Sprague who came to America in 1629 aboard the ship "Lyon's Whelp". Two of my direct ancestors were Revolutionary War heroes. Another fought in the Civil War and was wounded in the battle at Stone's River in Tennessee. Further back I am directly descended from King Louis VII, Henry I, II and III and Saint Margaret among others. These people led extraordinary lives and inspire me every day.

I am honored to have written the biographies for the following famous people here on findagrave... Tyrone Power, Irene Dunne, Janet Gaynor, Erich Von Stroheim, Helmut Newton, David Brian, Charles Ives, Ernest Tidyman, Eugen Sandow, Maestro Lorin Maazel, Martinus Sieveking, Samuel H. Kress, Bronislaw Kaper, Albert Frey, Fontella Bass, Maestro Kurt Masur, Clifton A. Sprague, Governor of Virginia Frederick W. M. Holliday.

RE: Samuel Kress
Christian you are so right, Mr. Kress and his contributions should not be forgotten. His bio is so interesting. I am sure his collection at the museum was wonderful to see.

Going to his store in downtown Lubbock was like a wonderland to me as a child (oh, the dreams of children)…

You have written bios/memorials too of some of my favorite “movie stars”, ie: Irene Dunne. They don’t make “stars” today like they did in the “old days”.

Thanks again for all your wonderful memorials.

Kress Building - Lubbock Texas
I enjoyed reading your bio of Mr. Kress. I admire him also. I shopped often at the Kress 5 & 10 store when I was very young. The beautiful building still stands in Lubbock to this day.

Thanks, Barbara

RE: South Lawn, Coshocton
We were so fortunate as to connect with those we know in the state to photograph the gravesite, etc. I have even been in contact with Catholic and Protestant clergy to bless the grave and others nearby. Thank you always for your work for all ancestors and deceased loved ones. Happy holidays.

RE: Denny Miller
Okay, I see that now on IMDB. I based my findings on Wikipedia (which i shouldn't...), but now I feel comfortable knowing I didn't post false info about his death.

I'm sorry for the loss of your friend.

RE: Tina
When a marker is placed, let us know and we will be happy to get a photo for you and her family and friends in the USA. All of my family is in the USA and they will never see my grave when I go so a photo is the next best thing. Australia is an awesome place though!! I am sure she is resting well. Cheers - Robert and Rebecca McIntosh
PS The plot should read Matthews with a double T if you would like to fix that up. RM's

I would love more information. I descend through Mary Ransopher the youngest child of Aaron and Julia. I recently spent a lot of time trying to sort out all the Julia's. But it was fun.

RE: James Sprague and Susanna Rice
I too thought Susanna was the daughter of Zachariah RICE and his wife Abigail, but she is NOT. I found a posting at which put me on the right track. Se I went to the Bedford, PA courthouse, the Hist Society, & the PA archives to do research. Found the land sale noted in the above post, which confirms her father as George Rife plus other land sales, tax, & probate records. Also at,233919 they give her name as Rife in the marriage records. I think someone long ago decided the F should be a C and changed it. Zachariah's daughter Susan married someone else. Also went to Zaneville, OH and held James' probate records in my hands! It was an extremely successful trip. Some of the docs are on our family tree website on their page - Send me your email address to the email you find on the Listing Page on that site & I will forward you the pertinent docs.

Yes I have all 11 kids, I guess I just never updated the memorial bios. Will do that too.
