I started into genealogy in 1990 and enjoy tracing my family's history, and learning about the history of the area's my ancestors lived in. I take pictures of many headstones when I go to a cemetery, so if you see a memorial page I have and you are related, don't hesitate to ask for a transfer. (If you would like for me to transfer a page to you, please let me know by using the "edit" button since that will provide both a link to the page and a link to your contributor page with the necessary ID# for the transfer).|
I especially try to get photos of our veteran's headstones as I believe they have all earned, besides our gratitude and other things, the right to have a memorial page on this site.
Anyone wishing to use the photos, in their genealogy, that I have posted on this website are free to use them.
Anyone wishing to have memorials that I have added removed from find a grave need only send a request. I put the memorial pages here so that family members in search of ancestors can find them, not to offend anyone.
Names I am tracing: Boone, Musser, Baney, Boston, Kyttle (Kittle), Monroe, Swire, King to name the main ones.

Oh dear! I just noticed that there are two different Nathan Wolffs at Forest Lawn. My previous message refers to this headstone for Nathan b. 1842 d. 1915. His wife was Caroline Rothschild Wolff.

This was Felix's brother. Is it possible to link them as brothers when their father Zacharia Wolff died in Alsace?
|Lisa Dasteel||Maude N. Wolff & Harry E. Wolff|
Sorry to be bothering you again but this is my great-aunt Maudie. She is the daughter of Felix and Sarah, and the sister of my great-grandmother Claire Wolff Desbecker and my great-uncle Harry E. Wolff. I would like to link the family together if possible. Thank you!!
|Lisa Dasteel||Helen Barmon Desbecker|
This was my great-aunt, the wife of John Felix Desbecker. Her full name was Helen Lenore Barmon Desbecker. She was born 13 Jun 1901 in Buffalo and died on 26 Dec 1989 in Buffalo. I forgot to give you the exact dates for her husband b. 18 Jan 1897 in Buffalo d. 24 Jan 1991 in Buffalo. Jack and Helen's son Robert Barmon Desbecker is also buried in the same plot. Unfortunately, I don't have a photo of his grave but I saw it when I was there last year to bury my grandmother (Hanna Kopald Desbecker) and my father (J. Hart Dasteel). The next time I go

This was my great uncle Jack. He was the son of Daniel Desbecker and Claire Wolff Desbecker, and the brother of my grandfather, Richard Wolff Desbecker whose ashes were dispersed on Lake Erie.
|Lisa Dasteel||Sigmund R. Desbecker|
Sigmund is still another of Samuel and Marie's children. He was married to Millie who is also buried in Forest Lawn.
|Lisa Dasteel||Clara Desbecker Weill|
Clara is also the daughter of Samuel and Marie. Her husband Alphonse Weill is the brother of Louis Weill who is the husband of Clara's older sister Emelia Desbecker. So the two Desbecker sisters married two Weill brothers... Confusing enough for you??!!
|Lisa Dasteel||Jack L. Desbecker|
Jack was born Clarence Levyn Desbecker. He is the son of Joseph Desbecker and Minnie Levyn Desbecker, and the brother of Mildred Desbecker Shire. Mildred is also buried in Forest Lawn but her grave is maintained by Phyllis Meyer.

Yet another son of Samuel and Marie!! I told you that there were NINE children... Sorry!
|Lisa Dasteel||Nathan Desbecker|
Nathan is another son of Samuel and Marie. His wife was Carrie Black Desbecker. His son was Harold (married to Gladys) and his daughter was Frances Marie Lorenz (but I am not sure if she is buried at Forest Lawn).
