I want to express my thanks to everyone who has sent corrections and additional information to me concerning my entries on Find-A-Grave. I hope everyone doesn't think I am rude for not getting back to them and thanking each individual one. There are only so many hours in a day. |
Rather than creating a duplicate memorial of a memorial someone else has already entered, why not contact that person and ask them to either edit their entry or at least transfer that memorial to you.
Please, if anyone discovers a mistake in my entries or have any information to add, delete, or would like a transfer of a memorial please contact me through Find A Grave or send me an email.
Please feel free to copy photos I've added on Find A Grave.com for your own family history records. It is not necessary to contact me directly for permission, but please indicate that I provided the photo and that it is being used with permission.

Thanks so much for your work on the Jackson and Jones County Yarolem family. It has helped me on some research I am doing.
I noticed a needed correction in the biography of Charles Yarolem Jr (#16218030). "Son of: Charles & Blanche A.Yarolem" is correct but then the links to his parents are actually his grandparents.

OKAY TOM IT'S ALL YOURS. I HAVE ADDED OVER 300 OF MY PHOTO'S TO THE NEW, ST. JOHN'S/ST. DONATUS, AND IMPROVED SITE. I TOO HAVE BEEN REALLY FUSTRATED ON THE COMBINATION OF THESE TWO WHEN I KNEW THEY WERE SEPERATE. I READ YOUR EXPLANATION ON THE DELETION OF THE NECESSARY CEMTERIES AND I THINK IT SOUNDS GOOD. HOPEFULLY YOU CAN GET SOMEONES ATTENTION AT Find A Grave AND THEY'LL TAKE ACTION. CHERYL
P.S. IF YOU NEED MORE HELP JUST LET ME KNOW.
Thank you so much for the recent transfers of my parents. It is much appreciated.

I will be more than happy to transfer my memorials to the correct cemetery. I want my info correct. It would help me if you would go to my memorials that are in the wrong cemetery and send me an edit (the old way) and tell me to change the cemetery to the correct cemetery (and please give me the name - I won't rememeber). I appreciate you wanting to have Find-A-Grave correct. I know you have put tons of time and effort into this. I appreciate all you have done. I pray you will be blessed for your service and commitment.

Thank you Thomas for the other recent memorial transfers. I'll add additional info to them shortly. I have sent you some edits for Julia McCullum but don't know what you can do with them.

Hi there. My father-in-law is the sexton for Fairview Cemetery in Jackson County, Iowa. Has been for near 40 years. I am working on creating a record book on all graves in Fairview, including the link of families buried in other area cemeteries such as Sterling, Buckeye, Evergreen, Reeseville, etc. I have located quite a bit of information so far and will be sending you messages per memorial with changes/additions such as birth dates, name corrections, family relationships, etc. I am also adding photos if headstones are still available. Unfortunately, several were damaged years ago and never replaced, so I can only guess an actual location of many. I am hoping to be able to place temporary plastic grave stakes at those locations so we have some recognition for those individuals. Thank you for taking the time to update all memorials for Fairview Cemetery.

Thanks, but I did not submit that rural cemetery photo to be placed on the pages for those buried in the cemetery in Bellevue. Somehow the Findagrave folks have just connected the two sites. Hope they can fix it. I would like to have an opportunity to have a photo of the city cemetery entrance or something of that sort.

D. 27 Dec 2003--Peotone, IL. Died at home, as your memorial states, but burial took place in
Mokena, IL., at Saint John UCC Cemetery. Hope this helps you add a little more to his memorial. From a distant relative working on genealogy.

You are very welcome -- I really enjoy find-a-grave. I went to the cemetery, about 2 miles from my home, as soon as I saw your request for Critton Stoker. I didn't see the one for Elizabeth Stoker until I had returned from the cemetery, however I didn't see her grave marker there. The cemetery is in very bad shape, many stones are broken and scattered, some are face down and many are unreadable. Critton's stone was laying flat on the ground as you can see in the photo. It's very wet here today, when we get a nice day I'll take another look for Elizabeth's marker.
