Bio and Links
Bio Photo Charles Finnell (1762-1842) is buried outside the village of Mount Airy in Randolph County, Missouri. Born in Orange County, Virginia, he served as a teenager in Washington's army and was present at the British surrender at Yorktown. Later, as a Baptist preacher, he helped found churches in both Kentucky and Missouri.

I am one of Charles Finnell's many descendants.

Please contact me if you'd like to swap info or to correct biographies I may have gotten wrong.

I will happily transfer ownership of memorials of folks I'm not closely related to. Let me know.

Cheers!

hi. I'm stumped with this woman. From family records, I know that sjhe was married once to a man named Vaughn, who died. In 1845 she married George Alvina Brantingham. Her maiden name was Blackburn, but I can't find her parents. She was married at the Winona Meeting House in Winona, Ohio. I was wondering if you had any further information?

I thought I would pass on some additional information on the above-mentioned memorial. Elias Nelson Vance was born on either 10 or 25 OCT 1810, in West Union, Adams Co., OH, and died 8 OCT 1846, in Adams Co., OH. He married Sarah Ann "Sally Ann" Kincaid on 2 FEB 1832, in West Union, Adams Co., OH. Sarah Ann was born 26 AUG 1811 in West Union, OH, and died 12 DEC 1864, in Adams Co., OH. She is buried beside her first husband (Elias Nelson Vance.) at Kirker Cemetery Adams Co., OH. She married her second husband William Davis in 1853 in West Union, OH. William Davis is buried beside his first wife Rebecca Beam in the Winchester Cemetery in Adams Co., OH. Sarah Ann "Sally Ann" was the daughter of John Kincaid and Sarah "Sally" Hannah Kincaid. They are also buried at Kirker Cemetery.

Hi David,

Thanks for the heads up on the duplicate memorial. My information regarding place of burial came from his death certificate. I contacted Tammy, who created the second memorial, to see if she knows something I don't!

Thanks,
Annita

RE: Coy G Finnell
You are welcome. Are you related to Coy? I actually knew him and Joy. He delivered something(can't remember what) to my family's grocery store.
