I have adopted the Patterson cemetery as a hobby, clearing the debris from graves when I see it (especially important after rainy or windy days) and researching the stories behind the stones.|
At this point I have photographed every single headstone in the Patterson cemetery, which began as a project to document all veteran graves for my American Legion post's annual Memorial Day celebration. So far I have located around 450 graves, ranging from Civil War veterans to present.
I've spent many hours walking the rows, and many more researching obituaries, birth, marriage, and other vital records so that I can provide complete information for as many memorials as possible.
My end goal is to transfer them to family members as much as possible. If one of the memorials I manage belongs to a family member, just ask for a transfer - I'd be happy to do it! If you would like me to update information, I am also happy to do so, but I will not post obituaries and I will not include information about currently living survivors, in line with Findagrave's general policies - see this link: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?searchArg=obit&page=listFaqs#89.

|Orville Jenkins||Placeof birth of Mattie Arletta Lovin Green|
Mattie was my mother's great aunt by marriage. In her daughter Mable's death certificate, Mattie's place of birth was reported as Davis, which was in Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory, at the time of Mattie's birth, and now in Murray county, Oklahoma.
I wonder if you have another record that reported she was born in Chickasha?
On Mattie's own death certificate place of birth was reported only as Oklahoma.

Thanks for the great job you have done collecting and posting the info on Patterson. I found your memorials for the Greens, George Emory and the related ones of his father and mother in Texas. James Taylor Green is my mother's great uncle. They were around when I was a child but I do not have personal memories of them.
Thank you for the exact death date for J T. I have not found that in any record, only the year. For some reason I cannot find the Texas Death index record of his death certificate.
I have posted a copy of J T's obituary from the Friona paper. Note that the place of death is Parmer County Community Hospital, Friona, Parmer County, Texas, where they had lived since 1929, as the obit states.

Thank you for getting back with me. I been doing my family tree. It took me a long time to find my mother's grandmother who is Ida. May or Mae Pack. She was married to Thomas Monroe Pack unilateral her early death in 1899. I am still looking for her death record. She died I'm pretty sure in Oklahoma1899 Dec 2. She was born 1875 in Missouri . I'm still doing my research. Thank you again for all your help

Thanks so much for adding Bunnie's memorial. We were neighbors and she & my daughter were classmates. Bunnie left us much too early.
