RE: Juanita Villafranco Solis
Just checking in to see if you ever found any information on Juanita . I have not been to Corpus in a long time but as soon as I get there I will attempt to call your Dad again. I still have the phone number that you gave me. My number is still the same and if he should ever call me tell him to mention that he wants to speak to Lupe Solis so that my wife doesn't hang up. With so many scams going around on the phone, she will hang up on numbers she doesn't recognize.
Hope that all of you all are doing fine.

RE: Oscar Heavin
Definitely can send both sides of the postcard. Can you send me an email address or other point of contact? Or should I post it somewhere on Findagrave for you to retrieve?
Would love to show you around The Printing Museum, I volunteer there Wednesday afternoons.

Oscar Heavin
I have a postcard from Oscar Heavin to Mrs. M. Lizzie Bradford, No. 1 Paynes Court, Derry, N. H.
I wonder Mrs Bradford was a distant relative or simply a postcard pen-pal. There were postcard exchange clubs all over the country in this time period, and tens of millions of cards were collected. I can share this image if you are interested. Here is the message posted 1918-05-27: "Dear Friend:-
Many thanks for your very pretty card. Was glad to hear from you. We are having real warm weather but there is usually a good breeze. We had a fine big parade of the Red Cross Monday. Write again soon,
Sincerely,
Oscar Heavin"

your dad
Today I was in Corpus Christi, and I was thinking of contacting your dad, as he would be the only living relative I will have known on my dad's mothers side, but I have no phone or if he wants to meet me. Can you check this out for me, as I will be going to Corpus in a few weeks. I will understand if he doesn't want to meet me.
I still haven't located where my great grandmother- Juanita Villafranco Solis is buried, but I am hoping to find her this summer, as I was checking out the CAGE-Mills funeral home records and found some of my other (Solis) relatives.

Please respond at my email address-jjjsola@yahoo.com

Harry Sigg
John;

I have made the date changes to Harry Sigg 99539984. I have also added both obits to his Bio, you can remove the photo of them. I have requested that the following children be linked to him:

Victor 33604775 (has and obit on memorial)
Allen 75508143
H.E. Gene 73455984

I can't find a memorial for Elsie Scott his daughter or Tessle his wife. According to Logan County cemetery records, I have all the Sigg's memorials that have marked graves in Logan County.

I have also linked both daughters buried in St. Mary's to him. Viola and Esther.

I will continue to check on the links, if not made within 30 days, I will forward to findagrave for the links to be made.

The neat thing out of all this is my best friend growing up lived at the former Mary-Henry Nursing home, it had been converted to a family home with attached sleeping rooms that they rented out by the week. I lived directly across the street.

If I can be of further assistance please let me know.

John

I am sorry that I did not get to meet you all. I did go to the cemetery gate and arrived about 1.30 and left at 2.15. I forgot to give you my wife's cell phone 361-646-6957. I am hoping that we can still make a connections as I had some photos to share with you. If you could also let your dad who lives in Corpus Christi have my phone numbers, as I am always going there and would like to meet him and talk to him. http://www.txgenweb.org/tx/sites-a.htm

I am sending this web page as you can find Juanita Villafranco (a) who married my grandfather Marcelino Solis in 1930 in Aransas county.
As for your invite, some of my siblings and I would very much like to meet with you and your family on Nov. 2, Dia de los muertos. We have pictures of my grandfather Marcelino and have others of my deceased dad and all our family.
I live in Victoria, John and if you ever this way feel free to come by and call me at 361-485-2737. You don't know how happy we are in hearing from our grandmother's side of the family, as this has been a void part of our family tree.
I have a sisters Maria Elena (Ruiz), Gloria (Rodriguez), Patricia ( Valenzuela) and Yolanda Solis. My brothers are Carlos Solis, Richard Marcos Solis, Raymundo Solis (deceased 1999) and myself, Guadalupe Solis. Our mother Teresa Solis still lives in Refugio, along with both my brothers. My sister Gloria lives in Woodsboro, Patricia lives in New Braunfels and Yolanda in Del Rio.
My father birth records can be found in the Nueces birth index of 1933 and his sister Ortensia in 1932. As for his brother Raymundo, we have not located any records.

Hope this helps and will be staying in contact.

Juanita Villafranco Solis
I am a grandson of Juanita Villafranco Solis, whom I never met. She was married to my grandfather Marcelino Solis and married in Aransas county. They supposedly had 3 children, Ortensia who died at birth and shows to have been born in 1932 in Nueces County; my father Guadalupe Franco Solis, who was born in Robstown, Texas and a brother Raymundo Solis- whom I have had no luck in finding this birth, which would be between 1937-1940.
Juanita, my grandmother died young and supposedly around 1940-1941. My dad told me that they were living in a farm where Refugio, Aransas and San Patricio counties come together at the crossroads going to Corpus Christi, Texas.
I grew up in Refugio, Texas where my father was in business from 1963 to 1993 and before had lived in Rockport, Texas. My siblings and I have been looking for our grandmother's grave and would love to have any information that you may be able to provide. Your information has been very helpful and if you can I would like to hear from other people who are related. Please respond.
